This can only be great news. The Seattle Archdiocese has suffered from all manner of doctrinal variance, including the infamous “gay masses” of the 1980s. Reading the link provided by the OP revealed an American Church that was drifting further and further from orthodoxy and had to be taken to task by none other than Pope John Paul II. I think the new crop of Bishops in America is the sign of a genuine turning back toward true Catholicism and away from the new-agey and protestantized Church we have sen sine the 1970s.you can all be assued, Bishop Sartain is not an innovator. He was a very outspoken Bishop who advocated 1-strike and youre out with the priest scandal. He has been a good administrator, and he is an excellent homilist. He also has a great radio voice. he is very pleasant to listen to and draws you in when he preaches.
