A New Earth: The New Age Church Of Oprah Winfrey That Denies Jesus Christ

youtube.com/watch?v=9WN_ZKrVKGQ

For years Oprah has promoted New Age religion on her television show, but in the past few months she has taken her promotion of false religion to an entirely new level.

Oprah is now holding weekly internet “lessons” for the whole world with her new spiritual superstar Eckhart Tolle.

These are some of the things Tolle has written:

“All religions are equally false and equally true, depending on how you use them.”

“Man made God in his own image”

Did you know that Oprah is openly denying Jesus Christ to the whole world?

Oprah said on her television show that there could not possibly be one way to God.

Oprah recently said that she does not believe that Christ came to start Christianity.

Oprah recently stated that she believes Christ came to teach us “Christ consciousness”.

Oprah is also promoting the teaching of New Age guru Marianne Williamson, and she has given Williamson a radio show on her own radio network to promote such beliefs as:

“There is no sin.”

A “slain Christ has no meaning.”

“Do not make the pathetic error of ‘clinging to the old rugged cross.’”

“The recognition of God is the recognition of yourself.”

These are the things that Oprah REALLY believes and has been promoting over television and radio.

So welcome to the church of Oprah where there is no sin, no need for salvation, no heaven, no hell and where you are God:

Here’s a post I think that all of us Christians on this forum can agree with!

How about that pregnant “man”?

I will not even look at this video. MandM has made several anti-Catholic posts and produced at least two rabidly anti-Catholic videos. Nor does he/she/it respond to any posts in these forums. He/she/it just comes here to spew hate. In the past, MandM has used nothing less than fantasy an falsehoods in his/her/its previous anti-Catholic hate-mongering videos and posts, thus nothing that he/she/it says can be given any credibility.

She/she/it is just looking for attention. Just ignore him/her/it.

I always knew Oprah was evil (perhaps that’s a teeny bit harsh) and had a hidden agenda. At least now maybe people will realize this and stop listening to her.

Oh. Well, so much for that then… :-/

Yes I watched some on youtube.😦 The worst part of this whole thing is that millions of people are being led straight to hell because of what she is promoting:mad:
She is such an influential woman–it is a shame she cant see the truth in what she is doing and turn to Christ. Imagine how many people she could lead to the Lord Jesus christ if she was a believer:eek:

We should pray for her salvation and that God uses her in a way that Glorifies Him.
AMEN!!!👍

What celebrity is serious about catholicism (or other forms of christianity)?

Has anyone ever wondered if Oprah is the anti-Christ? Seriously. I’m not saying she is or isn’t. I’m just wondering if anyone ever thought about it.

I HAVE!!! I have even thought maybe Barak Obama was too:eek:

I don’t know that she’s the anti-christ, but she is promoting the spiritual beliefs of the anti-christ before there is an anti-christ.

When Oprah talks about being about 27 years old and sitting in church and hearing her preacher extol the virtues of God, and then her spirit recoiling when she heard him say, “And God is a jealous God”, I think she hits at the very root of the New Age error.

She, obviously, perceived that the preacher was saying God was mean, and petty, and dependent on human beings to fulfill his ego. That, of course, is not the meaning of the phrase, “a jealous God”. A jealous God, on the other hand, is a God who tells us He has fashioned us for His purpose, not our own. He has fashioned us to work in the perfection of His Will, not for us to follow our own will.

The root of all sin flows from the rejection of God’s will for our lives instead of our will, but that’s an impossible sell to make to the “world”. The lie of the serpent that led to Eve’s sin (you shall not die, but become like gods) is embraced full force by the quest for “spiritual evolution” central to all new age philosophies. It is inherently human to wish to evolve, to self-actualize. It is so central to our nature, it requires the miracle of God’s grace to be able to perceive this drive as separating one from God.

The world will always reject our reasoning as Christians. It is very rare for the world to extol the virtues of a saint, and when it does, it is always controversial to do so. JPII, Mother Teresa, and Billy Graham are the only Christian leaders I can think of from the 20th century who are almost unanimously respected by secular society.

There will be a place reserved in the lake of fire for her and anyone else who rejects Christ.

I stumbled across this online today. Someone once told me that she thought she was God, because the way she reacts when she gives things away–throwing her hands in the “Cross Stance” and relishing in the crowd.

Well Oprah has been pushing this New Earth philosophy. Check out these two links, especially the first one. It is really said and disgusting to see how far this has gone.

These two Celebs are not afraid to show their Catholic roots. I a couple years ago saw Ed Burns happily wearing his ashes during Ash Wednesday on the tonight show.

And of course we all know who Jim Caviezel is, being the man who portrayed Christ in 'The Passion of The Christ".

Oprah IS an Anti-Christ by definition of the term. She encompasses the spirit of the Anti-Christ, as outlined in the gospels. She denies the father and the son, she denies the divinity of Jesus. That sounds pretty anti-Christ to me.

Whether she is the one outlined in revelations, who knows. I doubt it. What i dont doubt is that there are many many anti-christs today, i’ve met some of them!

“…Who is a liar, but he who denieth that Jesus is the Christ? This is Antichrist, who denieth the Father, and the Son.” 1 John 2:22 (Douay-Rheims)
“And every spirit that dissolveth Jesus, is not of God: and this is Antichrist, of whom you have heard that he cometh, and he is now already in the world.” 1 John 4:3 (DR)
I don’t know much behind the idea of the anti-Christ but ISTM that she would fall into this category with this description from 1 John.

But what do I know 🤷

Des

I visit a fundamentalist blog every so often and right now they are up in arms over Jim Caviezel speaking at an evangelical Church. They are upset because they see this particular evangelical church as saying with this that the reformation didn’t matter.

I would post the site but I don’t want that trash on this great forum.

There’s also Mark Wahlberg. A CAF member recently spotted him at Mass this month…but I forgot where the post was.

The world has turned “celebrities” in demi-gods, and many of them believe that they are so in pride the devil will use them, we are stupid if we listen to them.
What credentials do a movie actor/ess or pop singer have to pronounce “educated” comment on anything except acting or singing?
Oprah is famous because we have made her this way, switch off the TV the next time she is on…

I thought that this was a pretty good article on New Age syncretism:

**
CATHOLICISM CONFRONTS NEW AGE SYNCRETISM**
by Bernard D. Green
…Hence he complains of orthodox Christians that, in their “particularism,” they cannot “entertain the possibility that, just as Jesus is the name for that embodiment of the divine which characterizes Christian experience, Krishna is the name for that same reality among Hindus.” Christ and Krishna, then, are merely two different ways of doing the same human thing–breaking through to the divine.
Is there not a radical parting of the doctrinal ways here? For the
Catholic, Jesus is not just one of many names for the divine drawn from experience. For Catholics, Jesus is the person through whom we truly come to know what the divine is, insofar as that is capable of being revealed to human beings. There is no neutral experience of the divine against which we can compare Christian and Hindu experiences, such that we can say
they are both equally valid experiences of the divine. For Christians Jesus Christ is “The Word of God”: He is the one by whom a truly religious experience of the divine is defined. He is not one of many words about God, but the Word of God which judges all other words. All other religious experiences are judged by the standard of the historical person of Jesus the Christ, in whom the Church proclaims God was incarnate.
Jesus’ unique status was attested to precisely by the Incarnation and Resurrection. Our salvation is God’s gift, not the result of human effort…

The program which is currently being offered by Oprah and Eckhard Tolle is an excellent program to develop spirituality. I don’t know about other programs that are being offered. It has NOTHING to do with religion but Eckard does mention Jesus and his Christian upbringing. I have listened to all of the chapters so far and have found nothing to be anti-Christian, or anti-Catholic, or New Age, or anything that would go against our Catechism, or the teachings of the Catholic Church. Before you criticize I suggest that you do some research. It is rather obvious that many of you are jumping on the “witch- hunt” bandwagon. A healthy spirituality can make you a better Catholic, and a more integrated follower of Christ. Jesus calls us to wholeness. I really am not interested in any other programs from Oprah but this one has been very helpful for me so far. It has helped me strengthen my faith in Jesus and my Catholic Faith. Where you got your information from is beyond me. I suggest you watch it on Wednesday evening on TV or on the internet. This the last chapter of the series. I know other Catholics who have struggled with personal issues who have monitored these classes. They rave over these programs favorably, and are very devout in their faith and loyal to the magisterium.
