For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on @hopeful3542 (tormented), @prayersneeded (father), @cathoholic (health), @RCIAGraduate (mayor), @244Rocket, the soul of Alma F. and on the whole world.
I did pray a decade of the divine mercy chaplet for each poster’s intention (during my 15:00 hour).
God, Heavenly Father, I ask that Your Will may be done. Give me what You know to be best for my soul, and for the souls of those for whom I prayed.

Give us Your Holy Spirit to enlighten us, to correct us, and to guide us in our current situations and in the way of Your commandments and holiness, while we strive for the happiness of heaven where I hope we glorify You forever.

God, Heavenly Father, in the Name of Jesus Christ crucified, Your beloved Son, I beg You to forgive all our sins, all our negligences, and all the transgressions of our past lives.

God, Heavenly Father, in the Name of Jesus Christ crucified, Your Divine Son, I beg You to grant us the grace to accept your holy Will.

Amen

Why at 3 o’clock?
In His revelations to St. Faustina, Our Lord asked for a special prayer and meditation on His Passion each afternoon at the three o’clock hour, the hour that recalls His death on the cross.
At three o’clock, implore My mercy, especially for sinners; and, if only for a brief moment, immerse yourself in My Passion, particularly in My abandonment at the moment of agony. This is the hour of great mercy. In this hour, I will refuse nothing to the soul that makes a request of Me in virtue of My Passion ( Diary, 1320). https://www.thedivinemercy.org
anyone reading this can send me a message if someone wants prayer anonymously
Posting may be late due to a new work schedule but the prayer was on time

why only a decade?

I try to pray the divine mercy chaplet each day and include the first couple of decades for random prayer requests and the rest of the chaplet for the needs of family, friends, clergy, etc. sometimes I pray more than 5 decades. On a rare occasion, I will pray more than one chaplet.

God bless all who read this and pray with me for those whom I pray …and God bless those just visiting the thread.

For the sake of His sorrowful Passion

Have mercy on @hopeful3542, @Cathoholic, @Aroosi, @Upant, @Convert3 (personal intention), @Katie777, @Esodo, @St.Bede, @Njlisa, @Jzea1992(for “KB” who is causing problems) and on the whole world.

O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in You!

Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion — inexhaustible, look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us, that in difficult moments we might not despair nor become despondent, but with great confidence submit ourselves to Your holy will, which is Love and Mercy itself.

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

Amen.

Today I did say a full decade for each intention. Thank you @Upant for this thread. ❤️

God Bless

I was unable to list @ each poster and keep them included in the above prayer. I’m listing those below.

Today I said a full decade for each intention. I understand the chaplet is 5 decades. Some days I have more time and feel the need to pray for more people than 5 decades. Today I prayed fifteen, three of which were personal. I truly don’t believe Jesus would be upset with me praying more than five. 🙏

Thanks again @Upant for this thread. ❤️

God Bless

Thank you tremendously for your prayers! Today I had a family gathering and it was great! This is the prayer my mother said often and now I know why! Everytime I recite “The Chaplet of Divine Mercy” something good comes out of it. I say it twice aday and afterwards, its like something is lifted off me. Within the prayer where it reads, that in difficult moments we “might not despair” nor “become despondent”! The prayer is an encouragement to us “no matter what the outcome is” or “if we don’t receive an answer” but that we not give into despair but to continue having faith in Jesus!

I am reminded of what father said at mass in his sermon on Martha and Mary when they approached Jesus about their brother Lazarus, "Therefore the sisters sent to Him, saying, “Lord, behold, he whom You love is sick.” 4 When Jesus heard that, He said, “This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified through it.”

Candles—and other lights such as Christmas decorations—can remind us that Jesus is the Light of the World. Candles can remind us to put our “trust in the Light so that [we] may become sons of Light” (John 12:36). Having a candle burning while we pray might serve to focus our prayers and thoughts on Jesus as the Light of the world.

Your most welcome~ ☺️

I couldn’t recall Psalm 62 after seeing your user name and read it tonight. Psalm 91 is my favorite and go to, but that is a close 2nd. Thank you for sharing what your priest said during mass.

God Bless~

Psalms 62

In the Greek Septuagint version of the bible, and in its Latin translation in the Vulgate, this psalm is Psalm 61 in a slightly different numbering system.

“Jesus did not immediately go to Bethany, the town where Lazarus lived with his sisters. Instead He remained in the place where He was staying for two more days.” (Greek text)

Father’s sermon was awhile back but what was said made one think about John 11 in many ways. In the verses, Jesus waits for an addional two days , as a thought, and I have aline it, we wait and trust in God.

Even though our prayer seem unanswered, we continue to pray, unceasingly! (Link)

“Since Jesus’ intentions involve the salvation of all mankind, this selfless act will bear great fruit not only in our own lives, but in the lives of countless others.”

The other thought is on Psalm 34, " I sought the Lord and He answered me, and delivered me from all my fears. (Link)

He added according to the Catholic site Crux: “The ups and downs of life can shake you up at times and cause you to loose a little faith, but with time you may find it again.”

In the passage in John 11, we - like so many lose faith by asking “why?” Continue to have faith even though we don’t understand the reasonings for the delay.

Last thought, the delay brought out the best verse, like the best wine.

But even now I know that God will give you whatever you ask of Him.” Jesus told her that her brother will rise again. Martha said that she knew he would rise again in the resurrection on the last day. Jesus replied, “I am the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in me, even though they die, will live, and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die.” Jesus asked Martha if she believed this. She said to Him, “Yes, Lord, I believe that you are the Messiah, the Son of God, the one coming into the world” (vv. 17-27).

Going with this thought, when praying, that your prayers are already answered! Believe! It takes an act of Faith when we go to the Father in asking, seeking and knocking!
