A prayer at the 3 o'clock hour, let's offer something up to the Divine Mercy of Jesus

Eternal Father, I offer You the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your dearly beloved Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.

For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on @Katie777, @upant, @Hawkmaid (Luca w brain tumor), @7_Sorrows (friend w tumor on optical nerve), @Yankeesouth, @Nheath (for son Nicholas), @Jzea1992, @Convert3 (nephew Andrew needs kidney), @Jerryz (Coney w stage 4 cancer), @Snowboots (son w depression), and on the whole world.

Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion — inexhaustible, look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us, that in difficult moments we might not despair nor become despondent, but with great confidence submit ourselves to Your holy will, which is Love and Mercy itself.

Why at 3 o’clock?
In His revelations to St. Faustina, Our Lord asked for a special prayer and meditation on His Passion each afternoon at the three o’clock hour, the hour that recalls His death on the cross.

At three o’clock, implore My mercy, especially for sinners; and, if only for a brief moment, immerse yourself in My Passion, particularly in My abandonment at the moment of agony. Posting may be late due to a new work schedule but the prayer was on time

why only a decade?

I try to pray the divine mercy chaplet each day and include the first couple of decades for random prayer requests and the rest of the chaplet for the needs of family, friends, clergy, etc. sometimes I pray more than 5 decades. On a rare occasion, I will pray more than one chaplet.

God bless all who read this and pray with me for those whom I pray …and God bless those just visiting the thread.

@upant began this thread. It has been a blessing to many and he hasn’t kicked me out yet~ 😃

If you read @ upant’s post - it explains the 3 o’clock prayer and the Divine Mercy Chaplet. (You can still pray the Chaplet at other times of day)

Also, I think we both post under regular prayer intententions. If you enjoy praying the rosary, there is a perpetual rosary thread where people post some great pics and add prayer intentions for others as well. It is in the spirituality category.

@Timeflies2me, this thread is open to all to post, please do.

I prefer the 3 o’clock hour but you can post at other times, I say the chaplet at various times but was only posting the 3 o’clock chaplets, but I think I will start posting the intentions at other times, though in a smaller format (thanks again @Bix). the goal is to immerse ourselves in Jesus’ passion and to bring more awareness to the chaplet and what it offers. It was a private revelation, so opinions vary, but I believe it has the power to help people and want to raise awareness of it.

I did a decade for @upant , @Cecilia_Dympna , @Bix , also a decade for those I’ve said Id pray for on Catholic answers in general. I did this at 3 o’clock

For the sake of his sorrowful passion, have mercy on us and the whole world…

I think Ima make this a good habit to get into 🙂
