How does a pregannt women claiming to be a man help understanding of transexuals?
Did you actually watch the Oprah show? He doesn’t necessarily believe himself to be a man. He took on a masculine identity because out of chosing ‘boy’ or ‘girl’ he was most comfortable with the male role.

Much like myself his internal view is that he is ‘other’. However, society does not allow that. It was either choose, or commit suicide in the end. I suspect the choice was somewhat the same for him.

What’s worse, mutilation of the body, but keeping yourself alive, or suicide? Those are your only choices, period.

I chose to live.

What are you getting at? Sympathy is a bad thing? It makes me complicit in the death of your friends?

What happened to your friends is a terrible crime, but I don’t think disagreeing with something you personally believe makes me a bad person.
Did you miss the sentence where I said I am NOT criticizing ANYONE here?
That was my only point…I don’t think pathia cares. As she said, “they WILL fight back…” The rest of us are apparently the enemy, whether we’ve done anything criminal toward them or not.
Please stop putting words in my mouth. That’s twice now.

Why change your body when there’s nothing wrong with it?

I quoted exactly what you wrote. I think your posts are now making it clear what your real agenda is, and I am sorry I was fooled into actually thinking you were genuine in your posts.

You can’t speak of an experience that you do not have. Imagine if you suddenly woke up as the wrong sex one day. Would you instantly conform and function perfectly, or would you try to find a way ‘back’?

That is the only way to compare really, thought experiments.

How does society as a whole become ‘you personally’? No one here has ever treated me with anything but kindness and respect. I appreciate that incredibly.

My comments are to be taken in a broad context, the same way we speak of the ‘culture of death’ or the ‘gay agenda’. It doesn’t meant literally every single individual O_o This goes on to you implicating me a liar. You confuse me greatly. Somehow having an ‘agenda’ makes me a liar?

Everyone has an agenda. Do I have one? Of course. I simply want clarification on the catholic church’s view of people like me. I get NOTHING, absolutely NOTHING. Do you know how maddening that kind of situation is?

When ‘you personally’ respond to my comment of sympathy with “people always say this, but…” Since I am the one who just “said” that, your following comments were clearly lumping me in with the rest of society, even with your phoney disclaimer.

If you want to make something in a broad context, then don’t discount the sympathy that some of us feel toward the intersexed or transexuals. Perhaps our sympathy is misplaced.

Take things into the context that after posting that and re-reading it I realize that, but guess what? 20minutes after you can’t edit anymore. 😦 I’m sorry if I implicated you were part of that, it wasn’t the intention of that post.

There are countless posts of mine where I constantly thank people for their sympathy. Apparently one badly phrased paragraph can negate every single thing I’ve ever said on this forum. That seems awfully harsh. I’m not perfect. Especially when in such matters I tend to type faster than my brain works (I go over 100wpm).

I ask the question again-how does a pregnant woman who claims to be a man advance the understanding of transexuals?

I would say that it proves that male and female are not such black and white categories as they might initially seem. Which is the key to understanding transsexuality. I will again note, that if pinned to the wall he will NOT claim to be a man. He will claim to be a man LEGALLY. The media is who said ‘pregnant man!!!’

It’s pretty counter to ‘male and female he made them’. So will it ever work? Maybe, but not anytime soon.

My apologies for the misunderstanding… I may have overreacted. :o

The fact that woman calls herslef a man does not prove that male and female are not black and white. iI thought that transexuals wanted acceptance-that they didnt want to be viewed as “freaks”. Do you think this womans charade helps the cause?

Transsexuals spent four or five decades trying that, and it just never seemed to take. So, the idea is to now make ‘freak’ acceptable, since they don’t seem willing to let us discard the label.

Satan cannot create life
so ‘it’ mocks creation…

God will not be mocked
I pray for the unborn child conceived…
My Jesus,Mercy !

Well if that is indeed the strategy it is failing miserably

Is this the same reasoning why gay activists insist that “civil unions” are not good enough, and demand that the abomination they practice be called “marriage”?

When you actually do polls of actual gay people, marriage matters much less to them than anti discrimination bills.

I can, and have been fired many times when people find out about my home life and the ambiguous physical sexual state I have. I don’t ‘tell’ but it’s hard to hide who picks you up from work every day, and the fact I am not married, yet live with another person etc. People figure things out, and then I am fired, repeatedly. We’re planning to move to the west coast where it is illegal at the state level. I haven’t been able to keep a job for more than 3months at a time on the east coast.

That matters more to the average gay person than marriage. It’s mainly the big activist organizations that care so much about marriage. For some reason they’ve figure that pushing marriage is the way to get those passed too, but I honestly don’t see the logic in it myself.
