We also see God in his creation. The Catholic Church does not disagree with his creation. You are your own pope then and Sacred Scripture is a âpope of paperâ.
Hum.
I wouldnât say that Friends âfollow one aspect of the Trinityâ, many of us would not use trinitarian language to describe God. I wouldnât recite the Creed with convictionâŚbut I can say that I affirm that through Jesus of Nazareth, God lived among usâŚand He is among us stillâŚit is a âspiritualâ baptism that truly cleanses usâŚa man âcan enter the waters of baptism a âdry sinnerâ and exit a âwet sinnerââŚand have no inward change in their livesâŚbut NO ONE baptized with the Holy Spirit can remain the same.âPublisher,
So would it be fair to say the Friends follow one aspect of the Trinity namely the Holy Spirit? Since the Spirit seems to be an aspect in the friends website I went to. If thats the case then you donât believe in being baptized in the traditional way ie with Water and Spirit? How do you test the Spirit?
Peace be with you.

Peace to you friend.Publisher,
I think Iâm starting to understand. The Quakers or Friends arenât quite a religion so much as a peaceful way of life. You donât take oaths per say save in certain circumstances such as marriage but even that is open to more than just a man and woman, it could be a same sex union as well. It seems to be a peaceful way to live. Not for me persay, but for those that are drawn to it. Catholism ie the universal church is a way of life as well though we have a structure to help guide us along with the Holy Spirirt. The Quakers seem to have adopted Hebrews Chapter 12.14 âStrive for peace with everyone, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord.â as a way of life. Itâs beautiful in its own way. However, one of the thing where Catholism differs is also found in the New Testament namely Matthew 10.34. âDo not think I have come to bring peace upon the earth. I have come not to bring peace but the sword.â Publisher, our ways are different and similiar.
Peace be with you.

Thankfully neither you nor I fit into that catagory.Being a person of peace doesnât necessarily mean that Godâs will is fulfilled.
Sins are both actions of commission and of omission. Actions we do and actions which we fail to do.
When people continually deflect and defer, the risk is that they stand for nothing and accept everything.
We do not see a separation between the secular and the religiousâŚthere is not one standard of livingâŚwe need to integrate our belief in the Reign of God in our worldâŚeach of us living by the principles of the Kingdom of God and seeking to 'love our neighbor as ourselves"âŚall of these endeavors are rooted and grounded in our daily livesâŚâwe are the only hands with which He has to work, the only feet with which He has to go, the only voice with which He has to speak, the only heart with which He has to love, we are His Body in this world.âPublisher,

When homosexual acts are viewed holy and pleasing to God, a communityâs accepted beliefs have replaced the Word of God.We do not see a separation between the secular and the religiousâŚthere is not one standard of livingâŚwe need to integrate our belief in the Reign of God in our worldâŚ"
Disturbing? Does my view of scripture remove from it the Truth you understand? When homosexual acts are viewed holy and pleasing to God, a communityâs accepted beliefs have replaced the Word of God.
Itâs disturbing, your continual use of Scripture to justify homosexual acts. Particularly when you believe the great majority of Scripture is myth and fable - including but not limited to - Jesusâ incarnation.
AhhhâŚsarcasm does not suit you.Are you two people posting under one name?
If you donât recall our earlier conversation concerning your disbelief in âvirgin births, walking on water, and water turning to wineâ then scroll up and reread what you wrote.
I wasnât being sarcastic. Seriously, do two people post under your name?AhhhâŚsarcasm does not suit you.
You believe that unless I accept âvirgin birthsâ and âwalking on waterâ and âturning water into wineââŚthat I by default deny that Jesus of Nazareth was not somehow Godâs revelation to humanity?
HmmmâŚWhere again did I deny Jesus incarnation?
Please explain this line of your post bolded aboveâŚis this a rhetorical question or statement?I wasnât being sarcastic. Seriously, do two people post under your name?
Please refer to your Post #47.
Perhaps coming here and posting is some big joke for you.
Pax, frater.Jharek and GKCâŚthank you both for your words.
Peace to you.
