I note that my thread is again being posted to, and thanks to
all who are kindly sharing their thought.
Sometimes, I look at a given reality from the “outer space” POV.
I’m trying to picture a conversation - with those from another planet,
telling them that there is one God, but He is three persons,
and that tens of millions of His followers can’t commit to the eternal destination
of an unbaptized infant - who passes away before baptism.
One can only
hope that they are saved.
“Why?” asks an intrepid little traveler.

Because, after centuries had passed, a new religious
group, Christianity, said that everyone is 'born in sin."
“What does that mean,” inquires a little Space Cadet.
It means that this wholly new reality - found in the sacred
writings of others - now declares that original sin was in these
writings all of the time - but weren’t recognized by the
followers of the original faith.
“I don’t understand,” says the puzzled visitor.
“Neither do I,” says
moi.
“People need to be saved!” comes a voice, from the edge of
the crowd.
“Saved from what?”
http://bestsmileys.com/nono/9.gif inquires the Space Cadet, looking around, nervously.
“Do you have any human ancestors?” I inquire, politely.
“I don’t think so,” says their spokesman.

“Then not to worry,” says I.
