I’m not sure what disciple you’re speaking about. I was speaking about the ones that was in the post I quoted.Let me get this right. You are claiming that the disciples misunderstood the Apostles?

Wrong reasoning, IMO.When Scripture says “household” - reason says that there were children of all ages.
Makes sense it he was as Jesus said, Elijah. Can you explain what happened to John in the womb, if he was not filled? Why does scripture say he would be filled even from the womb?
You have made abundantly clear on this and many other threads that you cannot interpret Scripture very well, nor can you decipher when Jesus was speaking symbolically or metephorically.Makes sense it he was as Jesus said, Elijah.
Why would it need to warn you it clear if you open your mind. So, when the Bible says that households were baptized - do you honestly think they left out everybody under the age of seven?
Is that what you’re saying? Yes that is what I’m saying
Why doesn’t the Bible say this? If you read the Bible with a open mind not closed minded you will see that it does.
Why doesn’t it warn us that we need to be above the age of seven?
NOt a dodge you do this all the time. Don’t like it when its done to you.Nice dodge.
BUT - I didn’t fail anything.
We essentially asked the same question. I asked it to show just how preposterous yours was.
So, in other words, the child goes to Hell? With this belief all will go to hell. What if you didn’t get to confesssion and you die, You have sin so you will go the hell correct? If not then why?
Infant baptism has been practiced officially since the 3rd century, and probably prior to that time.Officially since the 3rd century but you don’t kow for sure prior to that time. Why was it official since the 3rd century and not prior the that?
For babies who come to baptism, the Church has always required the parents to profess the belief in Christ on behalf of the baby. But there is nothing in the Scriptures about a requirement for ALL baptism candidates to profess their own belief in Christ (because the Church has baptized babies for 2,000 years). I have given you Scritpute that says different, Now was it official for 2000 years or just since the 3rd century?
Mark 9:22-25 - Jesus exercises the child’s unclean spirit based on the father’s faith. This healing is again based on another’s faith. Where do you see baptism here? The father “beleived” that Jesus could do it and asked Jesus “help me not to doube.”
1 Cor. 7:14 – Paul says that children are sanctified by God through the belief of only one of their parents. The blessings that flow to believers don’t stop there but extends to others. God regards the marriage as set apart for his use by the presence of one Christian spouse. The other does not receive salvation automatically but is blessed by this relationship. The Children of such a marriage have a godly influence and are set aprar, because of God’s blessing on the family, until they are old enough to make their own decision for Christ.
Exodus 12:24-28 - the Passover was based on the parent’s faith. If they did not kill and eat the lamb, their first-born child died. What does this have to do with baptiam?
Scripture may reflect what the Church was doing in the early days, not the other way around. We know what the Church was doing sacramentally in its earliest days because we have written records of it independent of biblical resources.
The baptism of the New Testament makes a man a Christian, and baptism saves,I respectfully disagree. The apostles understood no such thing.
**Not at all. **Wrong reasoning, IMO.
What have you proven nada. The only thing you can say it “the whole household” which proves nothing. I never stated that I was my own pope or authority. See I don’t cover up child molestation like the pope did. So I consider calling me a pope as a insult. My opinon is only twisted because it don’t fall into what you believe.Give it up rev… The hole your digging is getting deeper all the time!
You can’t prove squat… Since you are your own pope and authority It’s all your own opinion and your twisted interpretation of scripture.
Now now now rev your getting nasty! What have you proven nada. The only thing you can say it “the whole household” which proves nothing. I never stated that I was my own pope or authority. Nasty begets nastyNow now now rev your getting nasty!
Lets face it you can’t prove infant WERE not baptized can you?
The early church fathers practiced this 350 years before the bible was put together!
What makes you right and them wrong???
Please enlighten all of us here!

Open not just your mind, my spiritually prideful friend. Open your heart to Go and his message - not just your mind and you might just not feel the need to reject the children like the disciples that Jesus rebuked for doing so.
My mind, heart and soul are open.
I don’t reject the children. I just don’t see the infant thing, just like you don’t see the of age thing.
The of age thing makes no sense.I don’t reject the children. I just don’t see the infant thing, just like you don’t see the of age thing.
