Hey – I call’em like I read’em.

Not at ALL. It is merely obedience to God. God calls ALL
to Baptism and I MUST** obey ****HIS ****will – no**t yours.

**Not judgmental at **ALL. I am judging a person’s WORDS (fruits) – which I am called by Scripture to do (Titus 2:15, Ephesians 5:11, John 7:24, 1 Cor. 2:15, I Tim. 5:19-20).

Study your Bible, friend.

Jesus’ blood REDEEMED us (paid for) – it didn’t SAVE us. We must COOPERATE with his redekmptive grace in order to be saved.
Man – it’s no WONDER you can’t grasp the importance of Baptism . . .

We will ALWAYS
have a sin nature and a proclivity toward it (concupiscence) until we make it to heaven and are sanctified. Jesus paid for our SINS.
Ac 20:28 "Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.

Ro 3:25 whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed,

Ro 5:9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, **we shall be saved **from wrath through Him.

Eph 1:7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace

Eph 2:13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. (Was it because of our sin nature we were far off?)

Heb 9:12 Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.

Heb 13:12 Therefore Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people with His own blood, suffered outside the gate.

Heb 13:20 Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,

1 Peter 1:
18 knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers,
19 but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.
20 He indeed was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you
21 who through Him believe in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.
22 Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart,
23 having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever,

1Jo 1:7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.

Re 1:5 and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood,

Simple: just notice the statements you make just before I tell you you are misrepresenting.
I said to show me HOW I am misprepresenting - not that I AM doing it. 🤷**
Until you can - you are simply bearing FALSE witness.

Guanophore in black; Doki in color

This is another modern American Evangelical innovation. It was invented to combat the sacramental nature of Catholic Teaching. As far as this comment refers to me, WRONG. I was taught the water refers to the Word of God. As I studied, I came to understand, in context, it’s most likely speaking of physical birth.

The Hebrews never associated birth with water, but always with blood. The reason that the mother had to make an offering for cleansing was because of the blood from birth, not the water. In the Hebrew culture, blood is the salient feature of birth. If correct, good points. However, water in the Bible is for the Holy Spirit, the Word of God and baptism. How do you know it’s about baptism and not the Word of God? BTW, I usually try to prefice my understandings as my opinions and as usually I understand I could be wrong. That’s very different from you who believes the CC could never be wrong. I’m not looking for a church that can’t be wrong but for a church that’s loving, caring and will serve others all with the attempt to bring the lost to Jesus and build up the faith of the brothren.

Joh 1:13 which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

No “water” in this description about human birth. No “water” anywhere in Scripture about human birth. 🤷

It is one of those anti-Catholic tradtitions you have inherited from your anti-Catholic spiritual ancestors. Wrong again. I associate with NO ONE that is anti-catholic.

Now might be a good time. I would start with Jos 5:9 And the LORD said unto Joshua, This day have I rolled away the reproach of Egypt from off you

Why was Israel under reproach? Disobediance.

I think I asked you how you dispense with the Scripture that equates them. I look forward to your reply. I already responded, if I remember correctly. I know I’ve responded to the equating of circumcism and baptism more than once. If you can’t find where, post the verses you want me to comment on and I’ll do it again when I see them.

I also look forward to your explanation of how a Body can live when the Head has been separated. Who said anything about the Head and the Body being separated?
The Bible doesn’t speak of the ‘C’ church because it wasn’t around when the letters of the NT were written.
Another modern American fairy tale. On the contrary, the term “catholic” is used to describe the NT Church because there was only one Church, and it was Catholic. The same word was used until 1054. Thanks for your opinion.

What you are suggesting is that Jesus was too weak or disinterested to correct them. Wrong again and misrepresenting what I said. I suppose you have to think that’s what I’m meaning or else you’d have to admit I’m making good points.

You are saying that the Church which called itself Catholic was able to produce the Bible infallibly, but did not really “exist” in order to do so? WHAT?

This is just a dodge, Doki. the failure of any mention in scripture of an “age of accountablity” has nothing to do with leadership or accountability. I’m not sure we’re dealing with apples and apples here. You’ve lost me.
What has happened is that you have added to scripture.

I am glad we are in agreement on this point. Now, if we can just get past how that church is recognized!

Yes, this is true for every individual. the Church, however, cannot leave Him, because otherwise the Church would cease to exist. He is her Head, and the HS is her soul. Without the divine elements, there would be no Church. The Church is much more than “the body of believers on earth”. It is the divine elements of the Church that make her infallible, not the human.

it is statements like this that reveal a deficient understanding of the Church. People are prone to error, but the Church is not, because her Head is Christ, and He is not “prone to error”.

Do you need for me to highlight what the Blood of Jesus did for us? If it’s not obvious, I could do that for you.

I said to show me HOW I am misprepresenting - not that I* AM* doing it. 🤷
Until you can - you are simply bearing FALSE witness.
If I’m not bearing false witness (and whether or not I am has nothing to do with showing you were you did it) then you are proving my point with this statement.

You** don’t even understand what Baptism does for you. ****WHY **on earth would you even attempt to explain the effects of Blood of Christ? 🤷

Then, please explain HOW I am misrepresenting anybody’s statements.
Your little games only serve to illustrate your ignorance . . .

I have to agree with Guan here.
You seem to have been Catholic in name only because you have absolutely no grasp on Catholic teaching.

**Consequently, you left **for only one of two reasons:
1. Spiritual laziness due to poor catechesis.
2. Lack of faith due to poor catechesis.

Those are the only reasons anybody would ever leave the truth.
Everything else is simply an excuse.
Well you don’t have a clue why I left the CC. You are just assuming the reasons you gave are correct but you are wrong I have a good grasp of the CC teachings I don’t agree with some of them. Just because I don’t agree with them don’t mean I don’t know them. I am far from Spiritual laziness and I have more faith then you could never imagine. The CC teaches that Mary was ever virgin, that is a bunch of malarki. They teach that they are the true church founded by Jesus himself. I disagree. You claim that Jesus did not have siblings. I believe he did. And so on. I won’t insult you because I’m a better man than that. If you feel the need to then go ahead and show everyone what kind of Catholic the CC put out.

Maybe because i’m not sure you understand what the Blood of Christ does for us. I’m referring to the actual act of His shed Blood not the ritual form that is to represent the Blood of Jesus.

This is a good example, IMO, of what I’ve been saying that Elvis misrepresents what is told to him.

I’m trying to look at this objectively. Not agreeing on baptism is in no way indicative of understanding that Jesus paid for our sins through His blood. I hate to see these battles…but isn’t that an ad hominem type of attack? Just because someone doesn’t understand one thing as you do doesn’t mean that someone is inherently wrong about something else.

I love your picture. I was wondering if someone to that picture of you just before or just after a shower? 😃

God bless you, Rocky. Your friend Bullwinkle.👍

Then the reason WAS spiritual pride, after all . . .

Not only do I KNOW it redeemed the world - I drink, it per his command, (John 6) at least once a week. 👍

Now - back to the topic of the thread . . .
