How’s your sense of humor today? I’m hoping it is good. So here goes…

I’ll bet you talk to yourself alot believing you’ll always be in a conversation that is highly intellectual. 😃
Now, THAT’S an ad hominem. 👍
You resort to throwing rocks because you can’t intellectually argue the topic of the necessity of Infant Baptism.

Ah, you chose not to see the teasing in my comment. That’s what I feared when I ask you how your sense of humor was today. You may be the only one reading my statement that didn’t realize I was just teasing you.

Let’s take a vote: This is another ad hominem statement according to Elvis’ definition.

Yes or No.
Let’s get back to the TOPIC, Doki.

You have a dubious habit of derailing threads when you get your feelings hurt or are losing a debate.

Give me another argument against INFANT BAPTISM.

Well you don’t have a clue why I left the CC. You are just assuming the reasons you gave are correct but you are wrong I have a good grasp of the CC teachings I don’t agree with some of them.

And does not matter why you left,it is your business.

**Just because I don’t agree with them don’t mean I don’t know them. I am far from Spiritual laziness and I have more faith then you could never imagine. **

Yep! The traits of Protestants: It is what I say is right, not what some church tells me.
The reason why thousands of non-Catholic churches exist and continue to grow.Private judgment at its best!

The CC teaches that Mary was ever virgin, that is a bunch of malarki.

Spoken like a true Protestant, placing limitations on God and the vessel which carried His Son. Protestants believe it is NOT possible for Mary to remain ever-virgin,because always thinking in earthly terms, precisely why I do not agree with Protestanism. Self-centered and not Christ-centered. And Protestants teach she had more children is the biggest pile of horse…BLEEP!

** They teach that they are the true church founded by Jesus himself. I disagree.**

And it most certainly is not ONE Protestant,Fundamental, evangelical church which is a FACT of history. If the RCC is not the church founded, then tell us who founded the RCC? And spare me the Protestant ignorance of Constantine, which is as old as dirt.

**You claim that Jesus did not have siblings. I believe he did. And so on. I won’t insult you because I’m a better man than that. If you feel the need to then go ahead and show everyone what kind of Catholic the CC put out. **

As I said, Protestantism revolves around private judgment, everyone is out giving his or her opinions about everything. End results: Thousands upon thousands different churches all teaching something contradictory to each other.

There’s been enough already mentioned on this thread to make an honest person sit back, for at least for a moment, and reevaluate why they think babies MUST be baptized.

You after reject them because they support a teaching different that what you believe.

Many non-catholic Christian churches are growing wonderfully in Christ Jesus, both in numbers because of new believers and in spirituality.

Saying Mary had to be a perpetual virgin is more limiting to God, IMO, as I read the reasons why she had to be. Looking at the Bible, it appears there are good reasons why she wasn’t - and if she wasn’t a perpetual virgin doesn’t take away from that fact she was a wonderful Christian woman who loved God with her whole heart.

Jesus is God in Human form. Is that a personal opinion of mine?

Jesus being born of the virgin Mary. Is that a personal opinion of mine?

Jesus being raised from the dead. Is that a personal opinion of mine?

God is Triune. Is that a personal opinion of mine?

God purchased for us (His sheep) with His own Blood. Is that a personal opinion of mine?

Then, if you have nothing more to add on the topic - don’t.
Some of us are trying to discuss the matter biblically and historically.

You after reject them because they support a teaching different that what you believe.
Yes, they certainly do.
Unfortunately for them (and you) - it is neither a Biblical OR historical Christian teaching.

One of the many errors of Protestanism: It is what I say is correct, because I say so and not some church.

And what has that belief given Protestanism? Thousands of different churches.

And you have more to share on the issue that hasn’t been said over and over and over again on this thread??? Maybe you should follow your own advice.

But no matter what I say you will disagree with. And that’s all right. You are intitled to your opinion on what is true or not. You chose to follow the CC, I don’t. I have not said anything about the CC, like you have by calling the prostants ignorant or prostant ignorance. I have not said that about the CC, but you seem to think its the way a Catholic should act.

Because like a Protestant they are prone to making private judgments and believe it is correct and everyone else is wrong. One of the many errors of Protestanism: It is what I say it correct, because I say so and not some church. Doki: This is not what I believe; I not sure if I know any non-catholic Christian that believes this. I doubt that Kev thinks this way, althought I could be wrong.

Be honest. You think I’m wrong if I understand something differently that you and your church. That makes you right (at least in your eyes) and me wrong.

Anyone, including myself, is wrong about infant baptism if what we believe is contrary to God’s intent and what He has revealed to us about this issue in the Bible. I could very possibly be wrong. Could you?

REALLY?
**That’s not what Luther, Calvin and Zwingli said. Were they wrong? And - if they were wrong - what makes you thing you’re not. **
After all - you are ALL Protestants.

As for Mary having other children - it’'s unbiblical. It simply doesn’t say that ANYWHERE in Scripture.

PLEASE show me where it says that she was the mother of anybody else other than Jesus and I will leave the Catholic Church today - I PROMISE.

PS - This DOES have to do with the topic of the thread, lest anybody think I’\m veering off the topic.

No wonder why you think we are anti-catholic. You think we want you to leave the CC. I, for one, don’t want you to throw out the ‘baby with the bath water’. The CC has been used by God and still is – as is many non-catholic Christian churches.

Doki -
Please answer the challenge or cease and desist with the off thread comments. 👍

If you can’t answer the challenge - just say so.

I just tells me you can’t answer his challenge on infant baptism and are now playing games!

It just tells me someone took a brief break and showed a lighter side in what has become a convoluted thread.

So tell me…when is civilization as we know it going to end. Just to change the subject for a moment.

Matthew 13:55-56 “He’s just a carpenter’s son, and we know Mary, his mother, and his brothers James, Joseph, Simon, and Judas, All his sisters live right here among us. What makes him so great?”
Also in Mark 6:3 “He’s just the carpenters son, the son of Mary and brother James, Joseph, Judas, and Simon. And his sisters live right here among us.”

I know you won’t accept this.
