Your’s weren’t ‘apples with apples’ so not comment needed. You have NOT dealt with mine which are ‘apples with apples’, IMO.
Because it’s not a matter of Apples vs Apples.
It’s a matter of Apples vs Oranges.

I PROVED to you that there are other uses for the word, "until".
You are still stuck in the false mindset that “until” ONLY means that there is an action of consequence after the fact. that is not the case, my English and Greek-challenged friend.

Your first comment is a reason why I could not become a catholic.
Yes - it is hard to break away from Spiritual Pride.
The ‘argument’ I was making had NOTHING to do with whether or not Mary had other children. It was only about whether or not she was perpetually a virgin.
Ummm . . . being that Jesus was the only human being ever to be born from a virgin birth - this is the SAME thing.

Do you even bother to read what you write?
🤷

So where does God say infant Baptism removes original sin or any sin? It doesn’t. It does tell us how sin is removed and the only way it is removed, which a natural and unregenerate person is unable to understand according to God.
Scripture tells us that “For we are buried together with him by baptism into death; that as Christ is risen from the dead by the glory of the Father, so we also may walk in newness of life” (Romans 6:4) and “Buried with him in baptism, in whom also you are risen again by the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him up from the dead” (Col. 2:12). So only Christians, whom are regenerate, understand the Gospel?
Also, God tells us why people go to hell; for rejecting the revelation God has given them and in a country like ours, that would be rejecting the gospel of salvation, which is Jesus Christ. Therefore, since an infant, or mentally challenged adult does not have the ability to reject, then they would not be in hell; if they are not in hell then they are where? The Church use to teach an unbaptized infant was in “limbo”, not they changed that teaching and believe they could be in heaven. Of course studying the Word of God and learning via the HS; it is obvious that infant Baptism does nothing in the sight of God, nothing. Just as regular water baptism does not remove sin nor taught in Scripture as such.
It’s not the water, in itself, that removes sin but the Holy Spirit using ordinary means (i.e. water) to give us sanctifying grace, similar to Jesus using mud to heal the blind man. Catholics aren’t saved by bathing or taking a shower! 😃

According to your theology, why are the infants going? According to Calvinism, this infant could be one of the non-elect and God decreed that this infant would never have the choice to repent and know God as Savior OR because of total depravity, this infant has the sin nature and because of that, he cannot go to Heaven.

It’s your spiritual pride we’re speaking about.

I did read your second sentence and it makes NO sense. Jesus was, of course, the only One born to a virgin, but the rest makes no sense in context of my post and your response.

Doki - stay with me here. This isn’t brain surgery. **
You said:

**Your statement is contradictory. **
Whether ot not Mary had other children is the SAME argument as to whether or not she remained a virgin.

Got it now? 🤷

Yes, of course! However, the modern American implication of this word is that the Catholic church is just one more of the plethora of Christian communities, on par with all those who created their own ecclesial structures.
How many denomination or fractions are within the Catholic Church; with the devout in the minority? 30,000 or more at least…LOL

Have to agree with you 100%

We agree on something; glad I am a Christian with the mind of Christ and I praise God and wonder; why me Lord?

Not taught in Scripture; so refer back to above and pray!!

Again you prove above; God said people go to hell for rejecting; a baby cannot reject can they? Hello.
I’ll go out on a limb and say there will be more babies, toddlers and others under the age of accountability in the Kingdom, than adults.

So what if it’s not clear whether or not Mary had other children; So what?

You have NOT proven anything with 'household’s being baptized. How many households were baptized in the NT out of the thousand and thousands of adults that were baptized? Very SMALL odds that you are correct. MUCH greater odds that I’m correct. Of course, God will do what He’ll do and He doesn’t care about the odds.

You calling anyone arrogant is like the an ape calling a dog hairy. The rest of your comments don’t get commented on. They are silly remarks, not to mention judgemental.
so agreed with. :clapping::clapping:

You are wasting your time; remember what Scripture says about those that are unable to understand; I have seen these posts and all you and I can do is pray because God said “the prayers of a righteous man avails much”, so join me in prayer if you are not already.

The scriptures attest that baptism washes away sins.

Act 22:16 And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on his name.

It is called the “bath of regeneration” because in baptism we are born from above by water and Spirit.

There are two kinds of sin, that into which we are all born, as children of Adam, and personal sin, in which we each individually rebel against God. Baptism washes away both.
Code:
Also, God tells us why people go to hell; for rejecting the revelation God has given them and in a country like ours, that would be rejecting the gospel of salvation, which is Jesus Christ. Therefore, since an infant, or mentally challenged adult does not have the ability to reject, then they would not be in hell; if they are not in hell then they are where?
We are all born under a death sentence, because in Adam “all have sinned”. This is a reference to original sin.
The Church use to teach an unbaptized infant was in “limbo”, not they changed that teaching and believe they could be in heaven.
Actually, both these statements are false. The Church never taught “limbo”. It was a theological speculation. It is not part of the Sacred Tradittion we have received from the Apostles. The church does not presume to know things that have not been revealed by God. We trust the souls of the unbaptized to the mercy of God, who desires all to be saved.
Of course studying the Word of God and learning via the HS; it is obvious that infant Baptism does nothing in the sight of God, nothing. Just as regular water baptism does not remove sin nor taught in Scripture as such.
Yes, there are many heresies that seem "obvious’ when the holy scriptures are studied in separation from the faith that produced them.

Baptism is the means by which we are joined with Christ in His death, and the merits He purchased for us on the cross by His blood are applied to the individual soul.

Nice to meet you like-minded sister in Christ. You do not seem natural, but rather super-natural; you got something dwelling inside of you? 👍
Nice to meet you too. I have Jesus dwelling in my heart. I go to Catholic Church with hubby, but really am a Southern Baptist in my heart. That is why I an ridiculed so much here. But I consider it a blessing

Your first comment is a reason why I could not become a catholic.

You can’t become Catholic because Catholics wrote the NT?

  • The ‘argument’ I was making had NOTHING to do with whether or not Mary had other children. It was only about whether or not she was perpetually a virgin.
LOL. Were you advocating that she had other children by supernatural means? Or is there some way a person can continue to be a virgin, and still have kids?

Oh, maybe you just meant she was sexually active with Joseph?

Why do you think all the first generation of Apostolic disciples misunderstood this? Why did they think Mary was a perpetual virgin?

Also, if the Church got this wrong, what happened to the powerful Jesus we see in the Book of Rev? Why was He too weak or disinterested to correct them?

If they got off the rails with this fact, then how many other things are wrong? How can we know the NT is right? Everyone present who helped to put the 27 books together believed Mary was a perpetual virgin!

Thank you for your wonderful arrogancw, it is just beautiful.
I beg your pardon? Arrogance? You applaud what he wrote? Infant baptism does **NOTHING **for God? How does MS know? Does he know exactly what God thinks? But you do not view that arrogance? You believe that nonsense?

Smell the coffee and roses…

Wrong! You are not correct, because you have not proven an iota either that baptism was restricted to adults only and infant baptims forbidden. And I told you a million times of COURSE more adults were baptized in the NT.And why? Because those adults were converts, since there were not cradle Christians yet.

You sound like a broken record.
