I do think we are haggling over semantics. Not meaning to be obstinate, but I am simply holding forth that our relationship with God is one of love, to which I think you agree. Our little dispute, I think, lies in our incomplete understanding of eternity, which you have aptly termed a mystery. Try to consider, for a moment, what it would mean to not be in a dying state? So I am pretty sure we see things eye to eye.It seems to me to be implicit in the understanding of eternal life being precisely that. Now, how it is so remains a mystery, “tied-up”, so to speak, with the mystery of the Beatific Vision; that it is so seems not to be a mystery, in my estimation - for what it’s worth. I do see, though, that “all will never”, e.g., may be a more suitable way of expressing it than “cannot”, although the result is the same.![]()
