I was lucky enough to be raised in a Baptist community that did not spend its time degrading other denominations…
You were very BLESSED! It sounds like a community that is concerned about it’s own members’ souls and love and zeal of God. Truly, it is the Lord’s work.
There’s a difference between believing for healing and baptism.

Those healed were not necessarily healed inside for salvation.
And in neither case, does the person who receives Jesus’ grace have to be the believer to obtain the grace.

Not necessarily, but, deformities were often a metaphore for sin. Something to think about.🙂
