It’s a similar story in India, where there are 20 million Catholics, out of 28 million Christians — the country’s third-largest religious group after Hindus and Muslims. Victims of sexual abuse have found it almost impossible to get their allegations taken seriously, let alone bring them before a court.
An interesting read, as much of the focus has been around the Western Church—and the Emerging Church seems to be facing similar issues.

.
Actually the bishop only has been accused. This charge hasn’t been proved in a court of law.
It is important not to have a public lynching of a person over an unproven accusation. People may think he is guilty, but this in itself isn’t proof of guilt of a person.
He could be guilty, but any person against whom an accusation has been made could be guilty–or not guilty.
