A thought I had about the end times and earthquakes

End times is not the end of the World as we know it but Satan will no longer be able to temp us --rationalism &materalism but we will have True Unity as 17 th Chapt, of John Father may they be one as I am I with you…I surrender My Heart and Soul to the Lord .

Jesus will come as a thief in the night and i am going with him, you?

**Let us not rationalize but Trust in Our Lords Promise Hope Spe Slavi **

After reading about the earthquakes in Oklahoma and living in Southern California, earthquake central, it got me thinking about earthquakes and bible prophecy.

Jesus states that there will be famine, pestilence and earthquakes when the end times are here. This means that either there would be earthquakes on every part of the earth, since Him speaking to people back then would imply that people in other cities and parts of the world would feel the same earthquakes or that he knew that there would be something that would allow the entire planet to communicate instantaneously, the internet and TV, to show the different earthquakes happening around the world. Back then, the people would have understood it to mean that the earthquakes around the world would be simultaneous because there was no universal form of instant communication in those days.

I don’t know if this makes sense and I don’t really know where I’m going with this but I just found it interesting the more I thought about it. I’m trying to figure out an apologetics view to go with this, if there is one.

End times is not the end of the World as we know it but Satan will no longer be able to temp us

I think the teaching is that the wheat and tares (temptation and those who succumb to it, and sin) will exist side-by-side until the Final Harvest at the end. So when one speaks of Satan no longer being able to tempt us, one is by definition speaking of the final things such as the Second Coming and Last Judgment. The two go hand-in-hand.

There are some who say there will be a period of time when there is no more temptation and everyone lives in peace and harmony, but nowhere is this supported in Scriptures or the catechism. Prophecies by saints and mystics of an era of peace have devolved into some idyllic concept of a harmonic, peaceful existence experienced by all peoples on this earth. That will not happen this side of heaven, so what those mystics are describing is how the earth will be after the Second Coming - the ‘new’ (restored) earth.

Theologically the era of peace of Fatima also does not mean a time when the whole world becomes ‘Catholic’ or even Christian. The era of peace of Fatima is a time for reconciling ourselves with God - a time of turning back to God. So the use of the word peace in the expression ‘era of peace’ in that case means reconciliation - an era of reconciliation. The word ‘convert’ means to turn to another purpose - so we are called in the era of reconciliation to turn away from ourselves and material things of this world and towards God - towards putting God in the first place again, to reorder the purpose of our lives towards God. The era of peace of Fatima is a time when many in the world, including many in former atheistic communist regimes, begin to look towards God again.Note that I said ‘many’ and not ‘all’. There will still be war, division, and hatred on the earth.

At Fatima, Blessed Mary intimated that the era of peace would begin with the Act of Consecration of Russia, and since this was done in 1984, we can conclude that we have been living in the period of peace from that time.

It was truly the End Times for Jews, when circa 170AD, Emperor Hadrian of Rome dispersed all the Jews from Judea, Galilee and Samaria and brought in people from neighboring tetarchies of the Roman Empire in the Middle East, to repopulate the area, and
renamed those regions Palestine.

With that renaming, every year has been during the “End Times” for Christians. Except, there was no Jewish state to which Our Lord to return.

Nevertheless, a sure sign of the nearing of His Second Coming was the reestablishment of the secular state of Israel in 1948. Now, since then, Our Lord has a Jewish state to which to return.

So, don’t even try to tell me that there’s no sure sign of the nearing of His Second coming.
