Hey Prolife wife, I like the thread that you started. I won’t burden anyone with my problems, because they seem very small compared to what others are going through. I don’t really have the words to describe how I feel most times, and I don’t want to spend the next two hours on here trying to describe it to others. It would probably just turn into a rant, & I would also probably put many people to sleep at the same time. I am here to offer my help to any and all of you any way I can, and if anyone needs to talk, please don’t hesitate to start talking. God bless you all.

I have seen so many members suffering on these forums. I thought it might be nice to have a thread where we could pray for one another and support each other during our difficult times. 🙂 Venting is allowed…bashing other people is NOT. 😉

I am also experiencing some ongoing crosses in my life. Mainly: long term infertility, adoption failure, chronic health issues in mind and body, and spending long hours alone while my husband is working long hours at work to make ends meet.

Looking forward to meeting everyone. 🙂
Pro, this is a nice idea. I’m so sorry to hear about your struggles. I am going through a divorce right now, which is very difficult, and I understand your frustration about long hours. My ex-husband is in the military and worked 14 hours/day, 21 days in a row sometimes. Very lonely! (This, however, was not a factor in the ending of the marriage.) Try to remember to thank God you have a man who will work so hard for his family. I am praying for you. 🙂

Good thread starter, it’s been one of the toughest years of my life in every way imaginable and it’s not getting any better as time goes on. I was going to write a book once I get to the end of these tribulations to share my story in full, for now, I offer my suffering up to God in prayer for others.
Prodigal, I’m sorry to hear of your struggles. I have also thought of writing a book! LOL… But it’s probably better not to dwell on things.

Without trials and tribulations, how else would our faith in Christ grow…Sometimes it’s life in general, sometimes we have to reap for poor choices, but we all have to trust He knows whats going on and cares for us…What is He trying to teach us through it all. It’s work just to get to that point where instead of grumbling or worrying, we just say "Thank you Lord, I trust You to know what’s going on and what I should learn from it…

Life takes many turns…I have health complication from a fall at work and am disabled from it…I was in a hurry one day because of the cold and missed a step causing a fall from the back of a rail car…That decision altered my life…At this moment we decided to sell our mobile home to get equity to pay debt off…We are renting and went to one vehicle to lighten our load and to be more able to help others for the times we face ahead…Right now what we spent for groceries and extras now pays our rent…Things are tight as we have to trust God to send a buyer for the home…Everything that needed to fall in place did except for a buyer…Every day I remind myself that as God guides He will provide…It’s faith we have to go on and not the daily economic reports and skeptical neighbors…God needs His people to be alive with faith trusting Him alone in an unknown future…May the Lord mature each of us as He works in our situations…Peace to you…K
Hiskid, you are definitely right about trials and tribulations bring us closer to Christ. It’s best for us to remember that when we’re suffering.

I’m so sorry about your situation. An injury must be so frustrating, not being able to do what you are used to doing, all of a sudden having less money than you are used to. I pray things improve for you soon.

Thanks for starting a thread that asks for our prayers. Altough I have had the worst year of my life, I have been sustained by the wonderful graces in my life. I have found that the best way to get through the rough days is to understand that there are so many people that have much worse situations than I do.

If you haven’t read The Ten Prayers God Always Says Yes To, I strongly recommend it. It helped me to stop asking God to take away my suffering and instead, ask Him to offer up my suffering, knowing that he would give me the grace to get through the tough times. He gives me that grace every day!!
Thank you for the recommendation! I am going to check it out.

I think this is a great idea everyone needs a place they can go to receive non-judgemental support. The holidays can be very hard to walk through life’s struggles in. I’m sorry for all of the ongoing struggles that have been mentioned here. I will keep you all in my prayers. :gopray2:

The past 6 months have been some of the best months of my life and some of the worst. After graduating from college in May I got married in June and moved 700 miles away with my husband from all of my family. Being in a new city is hard sometimes because I know very few people besides my DH, his brother, and a few of DH’s friends. Then I wasn’t able to find a teaching position in time here (stupid laws for transfering my license to a different state delayed the process of applying) so now I’m at a job where I’m constantly stressed and being underpaid for what I am doing, but it helps pay the bills so I keep it. DH’s car also broke down in August which cost us close to $1,000 to fix. We live on a very tight budget to begin with so we had to take that money out of our savings.

We found out at the beginning of September we were expecting our first child which was really exciting. We hadn’t planned on having kids this soon, but we were thrilled at the opportunity God had given us. At the end of October at 11 weeks of the pregnancy we found out our child had passed away at a doctor’s appointment. We had no warning and the child had been dead for at least a week or more. I ended up having an emergency D & C due to uncontrollable bleeding. Our insurance company is refusing to pay for any of the $15,000 in hospital bills because we haven’t been with them for 6 months yet. So now our already tight budget has become even tighter.

There was no reason for the miscarriage the doctor says, but I still analyze everything I did and didn’t during the pregnancy every day because it very well could have been my fault. I have so many people who explain how common miscarriages are and that just because you have one miscarriage doesn’t mean you will never have children, but they don’t know that. No one knows if we’ll ever have a child or if conceiving again would just put another child through the same pain. We have only been without our child for a month but every day I miss him more. 😦

Thank you for starting this thread. I needed to vent and sometimes I am afraid to vent for fear of judgement.
Laurie, I am just so sorry to hear what you are going through. I am praying for you. 😦 :gopray2:

TY…I always wanted to retire early from the stressful job I had…;)…The money is part my fault as spending to fix up and poor planning…Sometimes bad choices give issues we could avoid…Will unload a chunk of debt from selling the mobile home…My neighbor said someone was looking around today…Seems financing is tight for the mobile home mkt, but God can open up any door…My timing seems different than His… 😉

God Bless you dear sister in Christ…Tx for the prayers…

I also go through the replies and I am happy to know that, you all are still living with faith in Jesus. Its good to post our problems and may some suggestions change our life entirely or get some inspirations to live.

But rather than posting the problem, please add how you have faced, have you ever seen God’s plan while struggling with that problem. I think thats not possible because we all forget this forum after the problem. Or we got another problem and soon forgot, how God has helped me previously and what HE taught me last time…But if you can add how we faced last problem, then that will help other readers to face the problems by taking its a chance to meet His plan.

I also have my own problems and written many times in the forum. Last time, I wrote about my financial problem and also posted in some forums for getting works. I got an enquiry and now getting money from him to support my business. I think, its because of His grace and your prayers…

I have a good feeling though, we should share our story’s some day in full, just to give people inspiration and that they should trust in God at all times. Things have been impossible, but he has made the impossible happen, over and over again, this is testimony to him, praise be his name!!!

Amen to this thread and thanks to all who are contributing. This is why I love CAF. 🙂

Worst two years of my life and not improving and yet somehow I’ve survived. Must be God–it sure ain’t me. I offer my rosary this evening for all those on this forum in pain for whatever reason.

i wanted to let whoever wanted to know an update… i came here is sheer distress and anguish…and feeling so helpless and lost…about as low as you can get without being suicidal. anyway, i took the advice i got here (my interpretation) about let it all out to God and give it all over to God… so i got off here and started to pray…and at first i couldnt admit things fully and i didnt want to face things - too painful for me. but i told myself i had to give it all to God and empty all this out so i could let him fill me back up with him. make sense? it took a few times and finally as i crying so hard and i looked up and said " ok its your plan, i have no control over the past and i really need to let go and forgive me." i said 'if its your will to take me then please take me - otherwise please please God let this pain lift from me and allow me to feel peace and some happiness" by the way i also pray to my old fiance that died in 2001. i pray to both.
i did it…i let it out and i felt soooo vulnerable and scared to admit things and face things. but it was so weird. at that point while asking God to please help me out of this… i felt like i was told to hug myself and tell myself that i loved me and everything would be ok. and i did this over and over again for a few minutes…i felt better i felt the pain leave me and all the grief calm. then i thought oh wow i feel at ease… i felt good and hopeful. then i looked back up and said thank you so much God. i wont forget what all you do for me and i want to hold your hand from here on. i wont take him for granted and i will give myself more to God and trust in him.
i then went to bed and i was soooo amazed at how i felt good and i was actually smiling again. believe me i wont forget where this gift came from. then i actually slept all night through and felt good from then on…no more panic attacks…no more grief and anguish the sad stuff is in…i wont forget BUT im ok with letting that go. there has been so many good things happen in my life since then. only in like a couple days-WOW WOW… to who told me to let it all out to God and let him in… THANK YOU!!! im so very happy i found this place. you wouldnt beleive how long i felt horrible and severe depression and on a downward spiral…i was scared. its gone now. i wont forget where my pain came from… but i feel God now NOT pain. soooo wonderful.
THANKS AGAIN all:)!!

it really was an unbelievable experience… im in awe. im humbled!!

I had a pretty radical conversion experience that gave me a deep passion for the Lord…

Wow, thanks for sharing!!! God bless you!!!

I don’t want to live the rest of my life bitter and angry.
You know My wife left me five years ago and divorced me last year thenearly this year left the kids then got involved with another guy. Now she wants to fight me for the house and access to the kids who are happy to stay with me. I’ve had to get an expensive lawyer nd well you know some times I don’t feel bad at all about being angry and bitter. I feel that God understands where I’m at. I think you should let yourself feel what your entitled to feel.He did a pretty rotten thing your husband. Your grieving you know.

let yourself grieve.

Don’t be too hard on yourself.

I thought that this would be a perfect thread to share a short story with you all. I (thought) that I was having a bad day until I had a total stranger put it all into perspective for me. I also believe that the hand of God directed me to hear what I heard. I was having a very bad day at work. everything that could go wrong did. even before I made it to work, things were just getting worse. after work I stopped at the store to pick up a couple of things. an older lady was standing behind me in line, and the check out person asked her how her day was going. I selfishly thought before this woman even opened her mouth, “lady, you don’t have a clue about having a bad day.” but then the lady spoke and I overheard what she had to say. She started out her day by having to leave work early because she went to a funeral to bury her best friend. then when she came home, her power was out. here I am getting paid to have a bad day, which in itself is a blessing, and my power was on, and I also didn’t have to bury my best friend. I think in that instant, God showed me that I really wasn’t having that bad of a day at all. I’m not homeless, not unemployed, not starving to death, not running from suicide bombers and road side bombs, etc. I silently thanked God for putting my bad day into perspective for me. So I guess the moral of the story here is, when you think your having a bad day, think again, count your blessings, and thank God for all of them.

i have had a very very bad few months mind body and soul. im getting that sorted and with work should start getting my life back. my prayers go to all worse off than myself and god bless you all. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

thats for starting this thread. all you’s will be in my thots and prayers

me and DH have been ttc for 3yrs now becoz i have POCS . I thank God for the strenght that he has given me uptodate coz there was a time i thot i could not go on. Am still trying to learn and accept my situation but my main problem is my DH, the 1st yr he was very supportivebut he changed since the 2nd yr , he hardly wants to talk with me , he does not feel like doing anything with me or be seen with me, he dosent like going to church with me/ he dosent go anymore(to church) so i just go on my own, some days its really stressful like i remember this night i was very sad i started crying, he left me and slept in the other room. He just amaze me how he’s changed he does not feel sorry for me / he’s heartless like i made it upon myself. I could go on about what he does but deep in my heart i love him and wld not do it to him if he was in my situation. One thing i know is God loves me and his with me through it all and i have faith that i will have a child its just not my time yet! I have said to him that maybe God is waiting for us to mend our relationship 1st before we can have a child. I thank God everday for my life and all the blessing that he has given me its just that my DH makes me very worried.

Am praying for all of you guys, the word of the Lord says that" those whose wait upon the Lord shall be renewed of their strenght" that is what am praying for you that the Lord can give you the strenght to take one day at a time and peace of mind to get thru each day

Hello everyone,
I’m very new here, just found this site yesterday and am very happy that I did. I’ve read quite a few posts in various threads and have discovered that what I am going through in my life is shared by many others.
My wife and I have been married for 21 yrs. and have 4 children. It is only by the Grace of God that we’re still married. We’ve had many trials and tribulations and are in such a trial right now. The trial we now face is about trust and forgiveness for bad behaviors and letting ourselves become distant from each other for the past 2 yrs. I contend that she’s been having a sort of emotional “affair” with her girl friend who she chose to spend nearly all of her energy and time with over the last couple of years. Turning to her friend (who is also married but doesn’t live with her husband) for emotional support as well as working together and playing together and basically ignoring me. She says I was not available to her and showed little interest in supporting her in her interests and activities. She is right about that but I own 2 businesses and for that time was working 5 days and 6 nights, then coming home to find her either with her friend or gone with her friend as soon as I would get home and she could leave the kids with me. This all came to a head a couple of months ago and we were on the verge of a divorce, I do not want a divorce nor does she so we started working on it, getting really deep into our individual feelings and desires which has helped and brought a lot of change. I asked God to make me able and willing to love her as he loved the church and to submit to her as is His will for spouses to do submit one to another. Along the way we’ve had great moments of closeness as well as horrible fights. Currently we are in disagreement about the need to communicate our daily whereabouts and activities. I say she should let me know where she is etc. she says she doesn’t have to tell me where she goes. I do inform her by phone or e-mail of my whereabouts throughout a day but she doesn’t think she should have to. This of course pushes my buttons and I get angry and say the wrong words to her about it and she responds by telling me I haven’t forgiven her and am not listening to God. I think sometimes she’s trying to test me. I pray for healing on this and all of our marital issues as well as all of you who are having a tough time in your lives.

I am happy that this thread was started, and I’m thankful for a website like this, where I can come and hear other peoples stories, problems, etc, and know that I’m not alone on this faith journey. God bless all of you for sharing your thoughts, your pains, your losses, etc. I truly have love for each & every one of you. I also go on Facebook, but thats mostly just mindless chatter with friends from the old neighborhood, etc, and when I start talking to people about my faith, the conversation usually ends quickly. thank you all, and all of you are definitely in my thoughts & prayers.
