The Reginator: Your prayer dedication was so beautifully said. That has been the worst
repercussions of all in divorce. On family and friends. I think I can stand it for myself,
but it has kept me away an entire year from my family, as we were “consumed” by this
situation. Of course, some friendships have suffered. Thankfully, new friends, like yourself, and my brothers and sisters in CAF, have arrived on the scene to lend a hand and make a new mark on our life. Bloom where you are planted, they say. I hope this new location is fruitful and lends for a happy life. We thank Almighty God that Gideon and
I have been encouraged by all the prayers and support. God love you, Reg.

Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of death.
Amen.

Glory be to the Father,
and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning,
is now,
and ever shall be,
world without end.
Amen

77stanthony77 and tradCathconvert: Everyone asked me at Mass last night about the
outcome of the divorce. I told them just a few things. You know sometimes please ask you out of curiousity, but they are courteous. Don’t want you to elabourate. I told them I
had a lingering cough and wanted to sit in a corner where my Kleenex and I could be alone. I woke up at 4:00 thinking of the housing situation, but remembered that not a bird stays in the sky without our Heavenly Father thinking of it and watching over it. I know he will do the same for His servant, with all my good friends petitioning for me and pleading my case. So many housing situations are dog “unfriendly”. However, residents are entitled to their peace and quiet though. On Wednesday I will sit with my parish friends at our monthly healing Mass. This is where powerful things happen for me.
You are all on my shoulder (like small birds) in my memory. I hope tb crawford is enjoying her time off, such a champion of prayer like all of you. Thank you!

trad Cathconvert: St. Joseph and St. Anthony find us an acceptable home. It does not
need to be remarkable. Many people are praying for this new domicile. It will be my first
independent steps toward a new life for me and my dog! I thank God for all the wonderful
people and events that are leading us there. I will remember all of them tomorrow morning
at the healing Mass. See how our hands are linked like one, holy, catholic and apostolic
people!

O sacrament most holy, O sacrament Divine, all praise and all thanksgiving be every moment thine

Memorare to St. Joseph

Remember, O most pure spouse of Mary, and my dearly beloved guardian, St. Joseph, that never was it known that anyone who invoked your care and requested your help was left without consolation.

Inspired with this confidence, I come to you, and with all the ardor of my spirit I commend myself to you. Do not reject my prayer, O Foster Father of the Savior, but graciously receive and answer it. Amen.

tradCathconvert; Jenny35; needs mercy - God’s lovely people, thank you. Remembering
God’s lowly servant, very heartfelt and touching to me. (have Italian roots, deep emotions,
I cry when a stray cat is dead by the roadside!) You have made the last month so meaningful and bearable for me. Taking time for a stranger, you are better than a Good
Samaritan by the roadside bandaging another’s wounds! How would I have made it with out all of you? have no idea, my mind won’t go there. All I know is the grace that surrounds all of you has been conveyed now on to me. I love and respect you all so much: Whatsoever you do for the "“least” of my brothers, you do unto ME…
enter in now to the home of my Father.

Will be thanking all of you before our parish altar shortly. Your dear names filling my
head with love and gratitude.

Your loving friend,

Saint Anthony and Saint Joseph please continue to be with Kaylynn and her dear dog please help them find a nice place to live in

polly lodges: Thank you dear, for remembering me. Your prayer came at a very timely
moment. In my pursuit of rental houses, it suddenly dawned on me that while I am
pulling into the garage, it is merely a garage I am using for now! Isn’t that the way with
all our things. We call it “mine”, but we are merely using these tangible gifts through
God’s benevolence and mercy. I see the people stricken with tornado damage who “used” to have houses. I am reliving their feelings when I look at their faces. The
shock of leaving something you know and love that brings order to your life…it’s daunting.
I have great respect for the fact that the dynamics of their lives are changed. - - maybe for
the good, maybe for the bad. Are any of us prepared for these shocks?

Jesus, meek and gentle of heart, make our lives like unto Thine…

your servant,

Kaylynn7800

So many beautiful prayers and thoughts. I read several heartfelt posts from many of God’s earthly family. I just want to add prayers, especially the Divine Mercy Chaplet and Rosary. Jesus asks us to trust Him. He will show us the way.

Speaking of shocking events that suddenly change your life, I, too, am in a difficult situation and am experiencing PTS (post-traumatic syndrome) and even new traumas. However, the Lord prepares us. When the doctor gave me the bad news, the word “adventure” popped into my head. I think if God brings you to it, He’ll bring you through it.

God bless all the participants in this thread!

rookie on edge: Post Traumatic Shock now you’re talking challenge. Gold bless you
for your humor and courage. You are so right. Two people may suffer the exact same
consequences, but their attitude and approach could differ resulting in some different
outcomes. It’s not only good to hear from you, but to hear “about” you. I have found when
I make deliberate attempts to change the focus off myself, good things happen. My prayers are with you, too, dear friend. So kind of you to post on this thread. God love you!

77st annthony77: Your anniversary is just around the corner at CAF. Could not help
but notice it’s coming up two years. You know how much I value you and your prayers.
We don’t go anywhere without Anthony of Padua! Greetings again from

Yes, it’s important to put others before one’s own feelings. Looking again at the title of this thread – abandonment and divorce – I have a thought to add. I know from my own experience that one can be (not just feel) abandoned within a marriage and must continue to play a role just to keep the family together. In other words, live a lie. I really don’t believe that is good, or right and just, but sometimes it’s the only way. Kind of a “white martyrdom” you might say. Right or wrong – I don’t know.

Oremus! Thank you for your kind words.
