spiritual bouquet of prayers! Do you remember in Catholic grade school when sister
helped the class to make these little paper bouquets for mom on Mother’s Day? priceless !

rookie: Yes, there was a lot of “acting” in this marriage, pretending these things were right and normal. Clearly, there were many abnormalities that no one discussed. I did want these aberrations out in the open, but I could not succeed. The marriage needed counseling from day one. My husband considered such intercession too “uncomfortable”. We pretended things would get better.

My way of dealing with everyone now is a true openness. I have so many faults and many more failings to come, but if I address them EARLY I will stay true to myself. Never let unhappiness fester; work on it somehow, someway and early! I wish all of you a good and fulfilling day in the Lord. I filled in an application yesterday for a home to rent in a nearby town. This is a huge step for me.

God, teach me to be patient, teach me to go slow,
Teach me how to wait on You when my way I do not know.

Teach me sweet forbearance when things do not go right
So I remain unruffled when others grow uptight.

Teach me how to quiet my racing, rising heart

LB in Texas: Gosh, I loved that prayer! I’m always way ahead of the pack, a worrier.
My priest says I need more “trust”. Stay in the moment. I know it in principle -
God’s time is NOT my time. Thank you for pointing that out. I get some of the best
advice from CAF prayer warriors. Go with God, friend, and thank you for thinking of me.

I filled an application for a house to rent begin July 1st. More house than I need, but

I prayed for you during holy hour. So glad you found a residence. I hate to admit it but I’m in about the same situation and am waiting to learn God’s will about changing residences and even my whole lifestyle. Am I to be true to myself, I question, and preserve my sanity? Or should I continue playing a role and pretending everything is ok? Is security more important than truth? How will it affect my adult children?

I need a good spiritual director. The Holy Spirit hasn’t led me to one who would be appropriate. So I just wait on the Lord.

your children anything important. If I had reached out earlier to any one of my fine pastors, the story would be ending differently. My secret to success this year has been
my pastor and counselor. I can tell him anything. He has 37 years in the priesthood and
has heard and seen everything. I trust him with my life. He picked me up and kept me going.

Reg, you may drop in on me anytime for coffee, for dinner. I have never known such quality folks. All on this thread have been so awesome to me. Everyone should have such kind and understanding people watching their back! If you do this for me, your ,must
love your family and friends so dearly.

tbcrawford - a beautiful sight to see you back, girl! Only hiccup I am having is Gideon. So many walls go up when they hear you have a large dog. When they think large,
they think mean and destructive. I have to “sell” them on Gideon, like he’s a big old
side of beef. He is family. My husband has offered to keep him here through the sale
of the house (which is an unknown), but this big red dog is my life preserver. I am
praying hard over it. My pastor says: do what is necessary for youself, Gideon is
not a child. However, is he is one of a kind to me. Just another glitch I have to work
through with prayer. I lift all you to my Lord and Savior. Have a blessed day!

Kaylynn 7800,

I can understand how you feel about Gideon. My Golden Retriever meant more to me than just a dog. She exuded love and loyalty. Of course not all dogs have good qualities. Size doesn’t matter. Termperament does. And Gideon sounds like a gentle soul. I like to use imaginative prayer so I picture Jesus playing “go fetch” with my pet dog. Sometimes I imagine that the outer layer of heaven is meant for all the beloved pets of Jesus’ friends.
While Gideon is on earth :), maybe an underground fence would solve the problem.

Prayer:
Sweet Heart of Jesus, You love and enjoy all of your creation which You saw as “good.” However, since Adam and Eve brought sin into this world, evil flourishes and affects all of creation. Please lead Kaylynn the way she should walk and please walk with her and Gideon between.

Not biblical, but some people have quite an imagination. Yet, Our dear Lord hears all of our prayers – even the ones without words coming straight from the heart.

Today is the feast day of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. He is burning with love for us 👍.
 
rookie on edge: Gideon is my favorite subject. He is very smart breed. Australian
cattle dog or red heeler as he is better known by. He is big (over 70 lbs.) so as I men-
tioned people get intimidated by his size. As soon as you walk over to him, he drops
on his back, gets submissive and wants his tummy scratched! Some times he will lay
quite still for a l/2 hr. for a scratch! I haven’t spoiled the young man or anything.

I welcome all your thoughts and prayers, esp. for the dog. St. Francis of Assisi is no
pushover. He was on to something about the value of these gentle beasts.Your support
is always appreciated.

I had a chance to say some rosaries before mass started today .Kaylynn your baby weights 70 pounds, I know he protects you.
 
77stanthony77 - you made me laugh. I call Gideon “baby” all the time. He was groomed
today and is the most beautiful red you ever saw, Thank you for brightening my day
