O merciful Father,
Who have wonderfully fashioned man in Your own image,
and have made his body to be a temple of the Holy Spirit,
sanctify, we pray You, our doctors and nurses and all those whom you have called to
…study and practice the arts of healing the sick and the prevention of disease and pain.
Strengthen them in body and soul,
and bless their work,
that they may give comfort to those for whose salvation Your Son became Man,
lived on this earth, healed the sick,
and suffered and died on the Cross.

Wow! Cathoholic just told me about this thread. I didn’t know. Wow! a whole thread just for me. 😊 Shucks, thank you and for all your prayers. I really do appreciate them and knowing you are praying for me gives me great peace.

Well, not this past weekend but, the weekend before, I had to go to the ER because I could not tolerate the excruciating pain anymore. I mean, the pain got so bad it was horrible (balls of fire burning thru my body, prickling, shooting pain - all extreme and excrutiatingly painful). I have never felt such awful pain in my whole entire life. I did not even know the body could get so painful and that I could even tolerate so much pain. Well, after six hours in the ER they wanted to prescribe narcotics and I am weary of taking narcotics as some can be very addictive. I understand some create an imbalance of the chemicals in the brain and people end up addicted. I don’t like not having control of my mind and so, I said no to the narcotic and yes to the Ibuprofen 600mg. But, when I got home, I realized the Ibuprofen was not enough and the pain was unbearable so I had to go back to the ER for another 6 hours in excrutiating pain and was prescribed a low narcotic Tramadol and that helped but I was still alert. I only took it for a couple of days and the pain stopped. I think what made it stop is that I started taking Essiac tea and cottage cheese and flaxseed. Well, I am certainly not going to stop the tea and the cottage cheese with flaxseed. I am not even taking the Ibuprofen.

These past two weeks since my horrible experience; I considered going to MDAnderson for treatment but, after a lot of research and finding an apartment and all; I decided not to go. Knowing I will be staying home for the course of this experience has given me much peace. I was going to make the sacrifice of going to a whole new place where I don’t know anyone and probably being the sickest I have ever been in my whole entire life all for a possible treatment. But, my children do not want me to be sick and far from home and for some clinical trial or standard care - I decided it was not worth it. Besides, my youngest was having a serious problem with me being away and that was the straw that broke me in to deciding I would not be going. It’s a great relief to know I am staying home and will be surrounded by my children come what may.

Gosh, I don’t know what to say. 😊 Thank you for the prayers. May God bless you all.

O merciful Father,
Who have wonderfully fashioned man in Your own image,
and have made his body to be a temple of the Holy Spirit,
sanctify, we pray You, our doctors and nurses and all those whom you have called to
…study and practice the arts of healing the sick and the prevention of disease and pain.
Strengthen them in body and soul,
and bless their work,
that they may give comfort to those for whose salvation Your Son became Man,
lived on this earth, healed the sick,
and suffered and died on the Cross.

Apology and Thanksgiving Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Creator of all and source of all goodness and love,
please look kindly upon us,

Please receive our heartfelt apology for the lack of gratitude.
