It’s a woman’s right to choose! It’s her body and no one has a right to tell her what to do with it! How dare you!

breitbart.com/Big-Journalism/2013/04/13/Media-Acknowledge-Blowing-Gosnell-Story-Pledge-Extensive-Coverage

Link to a Breitbart article on media outlets that have admitted they should have been covering this and will get on it now. The list includes Joe Scarborough of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.” He says the show will cover the story Monday.

The main news networks aren’t “all in” (-or even “barely in”) at this point, but they may find themselves dragged into it by the middle of next week.

Choose what?

Kill her child?

Some choice. Since when have we become jury, judge and executioner? Oh, that right…40 years ago when the courts lost their minds.

I will never understand the “right” of “choice” to kill an innocent baby who hasn’t been given the right to breathe…let alone have any chance of a meaningful life.

I could care less about the so-called “choice” of women’s rights when it involves the death of an innocent child.

How about the rights and choices of this poor child? Do they have a say? Or is it perfectly reasonable for these mothers to allow their babies to be destroyed? To pay for their children to be murdered?

Apparently so…any argument otherwise is a infringing on the so-called “rights” of the mother.
It’s absolutely disgusting that we have stooped so low as a nation that we’ve brainwashed ourselves to think that the murder of an innocent life is just a medical procedure that “protects” the mother’s “rights.”

Exactly what “rights” are we talking about anyway?

Breitbart, Media will start covering trial of Gosnel:

Choose what?

Some choice.
Pro-abortion forces realized decades ago that most people don’t like abortion. Even those who think it sometimes necessary are not really “for” it. Marketing gurus suggested it would “sell” better if they framed the argument of abortion over “choice.” Who doesn’t like choice? Of course, it matters what the choice is. (Women who pro-choice abortion are not so “pro-choice stalking” where a weird ex-boyfriend is concerned, or “pro-choice rape” for those people who are into that sort of thing.)

As thinkers have warned since Plato’s time, the corruption of language is serious business. It’s even worse now, when the “choice” for abortion has given way to “reproductive rights” (and “reproductive freedom”) which means that it is not merely legal now for a woman in America to procure an abortion, it’s a matter of fundamental human rights that all women have access to abortion.

Hence the “I’m pro-choice…but I would never get an abortion” argument.

I remember having this conversation with my sister while I was 8 months pregnant. My daughter was moving around in my stomach and I asked my sister, who is pro-choice, “well, what about your niece?
She didn’t do anything wrong, she didn’t even ask to be here…but here she is!
What in the world did she do that would warrant her death?
Because every baby is somebody’s niece, nephew, grand-son, grand-daughter, cousin, daughter or son. Why is my daughter’s life better and more wanted then any other child who could be given the chance at life? Why can’t every baby be given that chance?”

My sister said nothing…but she did start to cry. It’s tough being shown the absolute realities of what an abortion is.

This is why this trial should be on the front page, front headline of every newspaper, internet outlet and television broadcast. Americans need to know exactly what abortion is. It is murder…not choice.

I agree. It looks like, finally, there will be more national coverage of this horror. We’ve already glimpsed the “progressive” spin: pro-lifer’s are responsible for this! I don’t think many people will buy that line. This needs to be seen for the horror it is, and those who support this should have to acknowledge that THIS is what they’re okay with.

The person who I first saw, started complaining about the lack of coverage on this story was Brent Bozell, Catholic by the way, think he runs Media Research, he’s friends with Hannity so I think Bozell was able to express this to various friends in the media and now, it’s catching on, it will be hard for the MSM, alphabet networks to ignore. Now, apparently, this is all over in regards to tweets expressing outrage about this.

mrc.org/bozells-column

"He’s not alone. ABC, CBS, and NBC piled up 96 stories on Todd Akin’s medically inept comments on rape and abortion, and also wallowed in outrage over Richard Mourdock’s remarks on God’s will and a child conceived in rape. Their pro-life rhetoric was sold as a major scandal. It’s unbelievable that Dr. Gosnell’s trial for his actions inside his “house of horrors” haven’t drawn one network story."- Brent Bozell

The media really carried water for Obama to get him elected, sad, I think it’s true with a lot of voters.

Oy.
Take a look at the other thread.
The mainstream media IS covering it.
All it takes is a half-second google search to see this.
👍 A bing search does show indeed.
Network TV coverage of the trial?** Zero on ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, NPR, and PBS. CNN’s entire coverage seems to be one sentence from Jake Tapper on March 21. (Correction: Tapper offered 76 words.)**
-Brent Bozell

Let’s not forget, it may be covered on local stations that are ABC in Philadelphia itself. Nationally broadcasted?

One important element that has also been exposed is that Gosnell’s reach extended across state lines. He was complicit in “starting” abortions in Delaware and then “finishing” them in Pennsylvania which had less restrictive laws about late term abortions.

Following revelations that Gosnell is associatedwith two other abortion centers in Louisiana and Delaware, the National Abortion Federation made the decision to suspend the memberships of both. Atlantic Women’s Medical Services, the Delaware abortion business that employed Gosnell one day a week to do abortions, and the Delta Clinic abortion center of Baton Rouge, have both had their memberships suspended. Leroy Brinkley owns both abortion businesses. Atlantic operates abortion centers in Wilmington and Dover.

His clinic had not been inspected in l7 years despite numerous complaints. The onion is being peeled back one layer at a time. Who knows what else will be learned as various parties to this horror start pointing fingers at others.

Yes apparently a Philidelphia paper led the way keeping this story in the news. But the rest of the alphabet soup channels ignored it until they were shamed into reporting

As far as this particular trial is concerned, are cameras allowed in the courtroom?

This is the most matter-of-fact, down-to-earth, plainly written highly descriptive horrific horrendous report I have ever read.

247+ pages of details.

Please read it and pass it along to your friends, colleagues, and associates.

Put it on your Facebook and other social media.

Just a few sentences from the introduction:

**This case is about a doctor who killed babies and endangered women. What we mean is that he regularly and illegally delivered live, viable, babies in the third trimester of pregnancy – and then murdered these newborns by severing their spinal cords with scissors. The medical practice by which he carried out this business was a filthy fraud in which he overdosed his patients with dangerous drugs, spread venereal disease among them with infected instruments, perforated their wombs and bowels – *and, on at least two occasions, caused their deaths. *Over the years, many people came to know that something was going on here. But no one put a stop to it.

Let us say right up front that we realize this case will be used by those on both sides of the abortion debate. We ourselves cover a spectrum of personal beliefs about the morality of abortion. For us as a criminal grand jury, however, the case is not about that controversy; it is about disregard of the law and disdain for the lives and health of mothers and infants. We find common ground in exposing what happened here, and in recommending measures to prevent anything like this from ever happening again.

The “Women’s Medical Society”

That was the impressive-sounding name of the clinic operated in West Philadelphia, at 38th and Lancaster, by Kermit B. Gosnell, M.D. Gosnell seemed impressive as well. A child of the neighborhood, Gosnell spent almost four decades running this clinic, giving back – so it appeared – to the community in which he continued to live and work.

But the truth was something very different, and evident to anyone who stepped
inside.

The clinic reeked of animal urine, courtesy of the cats that were allowed to roam (and defecate) freely. Furniture and blankets were stained with blood. Instruments were not properly sterilized. Disposable medical supplies were not disposed of; they were reused, over and over again. Medical equipment – such as the defibrillator, the EKG, the pulse oximeter, the blood pressure cuff – was generally broken; even when it worked, it wasn’t used. The emergency exit was padlocked shut. And scattered throughout, in cabinets, in the basement, in a freezer, in jars and bags and plastic jugs, were fetal remains. It was a baby charnel house.

The people who ran this sham medical practice included no doctors other than Gosnell himself, and not even a single nurse. Two of his employees had been to medical school, but neither of them were licensed physicians. They just pretended to be. Everyone called them “Doctor,” even though they, and Gosnell, knew they weren’t. Among the rest of the staff, there was no one with any medical licensing or relevant certification at all. *But that didn’t stop them from making diagnoses, performing procedures, administering drugs.
Because the real business of the “Women’s Medical Society” was not health; it was profit. *

There were two primary parts to the operation. By day it was a prescription mill; by night an abortion mill. A constant stream of “patients” came through during business hours and, for the proper payment, left with scripts for Oxycontin and other controlled substances, for themselves and their friends. Gosnell didn’t see these “patients”; he didn’t even show up at the office during the day. He just left behind blank, pre-signed prescription pads, and had his unskilled, unauthorized workers take care of the rest. The fake prescriptions brought in hundreds of thousands of dollars a year. But this …**

The difference between him and the late Bernard Nathanson is that Nathanson converted and repented.
I don’t know if I agree with that. Gosnell did more than just abortion. Gosnell is like a serial killer like Dahmer, Gacy or Bundy. I seriously doubt that when Dr. Nathanson did abortions, he kept body parts in his office.
