I concur:

The older I get, the less time and patience I have for pure conjecture. Sometimes it’s fun to engage in, sometimes it’s necessary to help form understanding, but really I have a household to run and a faith to live.
I never did enjoy confrontational debating of that sort. I post replies here and other places if I feel like it will do some good, but arguing for arguing’s sake has never been fun. I try to word my posts as snark-free as possible - not perfect at it yet but it’s an ongoing goal. Engaging in heated debate is an occasion of sin for me, really, as I do have a temper when I get frustrated, something that I’m learning that it’s easier to prevent than do damage control for afterward. :sad_yes:

I’ve come across short youtube commercials of it ,also saying it’ll be out on the 27th >~<. ._. Grriiiieeefff…

Turns out that this movie’s ads were turned down by NBC because they used the word “abortion”- which infuriated Planned Parenthood who started a petition in protest. NBC reversed their position and Planned Parenthood declared victory on Twitter. i guess that means that we can look forward to ads about this horrible film :mad:tthewrap.com/nbc-responds-to-planned-parenthood-petition-over-obvious-child-flap/
Well, I can tell you this much, if I am watching some show and that ad comes on, I will be changing the channel and not changing back that day. If I were an advertiser, I don’t think I’d want to be paying full price for ad time if I were coming after the “killing babies is funny” commercial.

A much, much better film about abortion is Love With a Proper Stranger, starring Natalie Wood and Steve McQueen. This movie is also sometimes described as a romantic comedy, although it seems more like a romantic drama to me. During the time of the release of Love With a Proper Stranger abortion was illegal. The male character was a sort of one night stand who agreed to help her with her plan for an abortion, but then stops it and wisks her away.

If you have not seen the movie, you really have to in order to get a full idea as there is much more to it and it has a moral ending. It is truly about facing tough choices. It is a beautiful story, in my opinion.

I absolutely love this film.

I like the scene when he brings her to visit his family in order to indirectly get the money for the abortion. They are Italian immigrants who seem genuinely to like Natalie Wood’s character. She is also Italian American and seems to feel comfortable with them. The parents don’t know what their intentions are.

realclearpolitics.com/articles/2014/06/20/date_night_at_the_abortion_movie_123029.html A romantic comedy movie has been made about an abortion- all very well-reviewed by the usual suspects. We are hitting new moral lows every day in this country. Has anyone else heard of this movie? How can an abortion be considered entertainment, and even worse, a comedy?? Some of the positive reviews also take digs at pro-life Christians. I’ve included a link to the only negative review that I found. So sad.
Wow. Baby mutilation sure is fine entertainment! Maybe they’ll slow it down like Chariots of Fire so the audience can savor every moment. 👍
