I already have. He makes a commnent like that and then acknowledges he is livng a life of grevious sin. I know the PC thing to do it show tolerance for his lifestyle BUT our Church teaches us differently.

I don’t think tolerance equals acceptance. I don’t accept the lifestyle but I think that it has to be tolerated, I mean, we don’t live in Heaven, yet!
IMHO I think we should remember we are here to proclaim a truth that is so obscured in our society. It’s hard but I try to remember many more people don’t think like we do because they haven’t heard the truth. And even then it may not get heard.

Ok - this thread is hijacked completely.
The active behavior? Yes - it’s sinful. But gays can be homosexual and not be working in sin, it’s the behavior that is sinful, not the inclination. I think that’s where the Catholic Church has an advantage over the other denominations, we understand more completely the human condition. IMHO homosexuality, more than any other sin of compulsion, is soooo hard to break. I think we need to be mindful of how we minister, and I think as Catholics, we should remember we have the advantage!! :twocents:

Where were we? The murder toll grows. 47 million is 47 million too many. And that’s just in the USA. Australia is no Vatican City itself, we have probably had more abortions per capita than the USA has. May God have mercy on us!

AMEN! As Catholics we bear a lot of the responsibility for the continuation of abortion. We KNOW THE TRUTH yet many of our bretheren continue to vote for those who support abortion and make excuses for why they do so.
