Exactly, there was an intent to incite a negative reaction, I also found his words thus far, to be patronizing and condescending.

His OP should have read something like this: “hey look at those crazy Catholics, they believe God’s in a wafer, I’ll show them.”

Well…personally…I believe neither in God as Banana nor God as Jesus…(or only God as a He) but since this is a Catholic forum…my beliefs are unimportant.

(But if you really wanted to know what I believe, I do tell you as I sign out…and its in my name)

You completely missed what I was asking. I asked why is a banana more sacred than wheat. I never claimed the converse was true. Also, I didn’t ask you, I asked the poster about his/her views. I’m not looking to debate it, it is a question of curiosity.

Catholics elevate wheat and wine above all other offerings.

According to my religion, alcohol is very negative.

We make offerings of bananas and milk (as well as coconuts, rice, fruit, pulses, and YES wheat) to God, but we would NEVER offer wine or other alcohol.

Also we would never kill animals like they did in the Jewish religion…that’s very negative.

You know I don’t hate the guy, but I can’t say I respect him. I feel pity, and if I’m being honest, anger as well (although not much now). I do wish he would have been more circumspect about what he does and doesn’t believe.
