I have always known that we Catholics believe in transubstantiation and that during the mass the priest changes (literally) the bread and wine into the body and blood of Christ. What I would like to know is are Catholic priest the only person’s that can do this.?What about Protestants when they receive communion in their churches. For those who believe that this is really the true body and blood of Christ, and receive their communion, in other churches ;does God except this? Also, I know that there are seven sacraments in the Catholic Church but I am confused a little. Are sacraments and rites the same thing. Are the seven sacraments the same as the rites. One other thing; how do they change the bread and wine into the body and blood of Christ in protestant churches?
