Some time ago I attended Mass at a local parish during which, as always, the celebrant changed the words of the Eucharistic Prayer. Even worse, he changed the words of consecration. Instead of saying:
“This is my body”
followed a minute later by
*“This is the cup of my blood” *
he elevated the host and chalice together, and said
“This is my body and blood.”
Was this a valid consecration?
