reteeks21;4357768:
Believe me. I used to be a member of a Baptist church that was only concerned about how many people “got saved” evry week. It didn’t matter if e never saw tham again…all that ws important was the “sinner’s prayer”. THey wew also a big fan of taking every “faith” scripture out of context, and completely denigrating the importance of the sacremants and other works.
Jesus does care about numbers.“Go out into the highways and hedges, and COMPEL THEM TO COME IN, that my house may be FILLED” (Luke 14:23).
Look up the word “compel” and you might be surprised. It means “to force or make someone do something.” Does Jesus want us to force people to get saved? Well, yes and no. No, because you can’t force a person to accept Christ-It must be from
the heart. Yes, because people get stuck in life and need someone else to prod (help) them along to do what is right. We must be gentle though, “…be gentle unto all men, apt (ready) to teach, patient” (2nd Timothy 2:24). God does NOT want us to shove the Gospel down anyone’s throat. However, we are COMMANDED to go forth preaching the Gospel, “GO ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature” (Mark 16:15).
A Lot of people jump from religion to religion because people focus on people and not what God wants,or they dont know God.
God tells us to examine our own selves. Why would you knock someone giving someone the gospel. Let me ask you this. What are you doing to lead someone to the living God of the bible? If you care so much that no one is doing anything to teach then why dont you get saved and do something about it?
