Great ideas! Thanks for posting.
If dad can handle bedtime, babysitting swaps are great for date nights out (you babysit for a friend and then they babysit for you).I can’t wait until my kids are old enough to be fed and sent to their rooms unattended, give me about 5 or 6 years I guess. Until then, it’s babysitters for us if we want a date night.
Fun sounding stuff though! I see PP point though, it’s really just fun ideas for couples, not necessarily married couples, and most of the stuff I could do with a friend or family just as well. Board games and wine? Sounds like a perfect sisters night…Great list for all purposes!
Nope, not really. Dad can sort of handle bedtime for the older one, who goes to bed at 7:30 (takes an hour to go to sleep, so not done until 8:30), but he prefers nursing before bed so it is usually me. The 2 month old usually cluster feeds until bedtime for me, and then nurses to sleep with me. In fact, the 2 month old is usually the reason dad has to sub in for me to get the 2 year old to sleep, as she won’t be happy without me in the evenings long enough to get the older one to sleep. And she refuses a bottle. Yep. I’m lucky if I get a shower after the older one goes to bed, no “couple time”!If dad can handle bedtime, babysitting swaps are great for date nights out (you babysit for a friend and then they babysit for you).
Our kids are usually in bed asleep by 8:30, and I go to bed between 9:30 and 10. Still plenty of time for “couple time.” The other night we played cards, which we haven’t done in ages, and had a blast.
Ah, yes, with a newborn it’s always different. We usually do dates with the baby for quite a while.Nope, not really.
