Since “the end of time” is a known future event of which we are certain, being when the paraousia and the General Judgment will occur, and is followed by our continued existence either in heaven with the blessed or in hell, is it permissible for the celebrant to append the phrase “from now until the end of time” onto the doxology which follows the embolism after the Lord’s Prayer? I believe it is not permissible: since we believe God’s kingdom, power, and glory “have no end” (Creed) we would thus be praying a lie.
