Just asking… Is it wrong to add song lyrics from lyrics book in the CD album that you buy or from official music portals?
NopeDoes the lyrics book include a little © symbol? That means yes, it’s wrong.
No, the information would not be viewable to anyone else besides yourself (unless you share the song with someone else, which would change things of course).I confess that I don’t know how iTunes works, so this may be categorized as Fair Use. When you attach lyrics to a song you own, is it solely for your exclusive use? Is it stored “in the cloud” or shared publicly with others? If not, then I see no problem, since you already bought the license.
It’s just that there are many public lyrics sites on the Internet that operate in a copyright grey-area. They’re not supposed to be hosting copyrighted lyrics, yet many users type in and submit them to be shared to all. That kind of stuff is not legal and probably subject to DMCA takedowns.
