Ask him if he thinks Mary Magdalene is in hell.

If not, why not? Most bible scholars still think she was the reformed adultress referred to in the gospels.
You may have the wrong thread, brother. This is about a Once fornicator, misunderstanding The Church, Our Lord’s teachings on how to be forgiven, totally. A Priest in Confesson, by the Lord.:highprayer:
By the way, the ‘story’ that Mary Magdalene had been some kind of evil woman once was a False one, invented, started a few Centuries after her time. Research material is available Confirming that, not the 1500 plus years false adulteress story.

I don’t think I have the wrong thread. This is about someone who thinks that a premarital sex mistake is final and that his life is irretrievably ruined. Right? Scripture has many example of how that is not the truth.

Not to hijack the thread, but most of the folks pushing the case for MM NOT being the adulteress are also pushing other weird opinions not relevant to this thread…

All depends on what one thinks is weird :whacky: 🤓 I like to refer to historic evidence, and science to figure What ideas work, which don’t. I heard the evidence historically that Mary Magdalene was never derided morally until centuries after her time. Therein lies the ‘fact’ that she was derided morally, artificially, Long after her time. If she was plain wicked, evil previously, would have been mentioned or suggested early centuries. 👍
Similarly the ‘pope joan’ ‘story’. Was initiated First Time during Reformation, many centuries later

Thanks for the scriptural explanation.
