It is well for the Synod to remember, most of the world is not Europe and North America.
African bishops face severe challenges in coping with the influence of pagan cultures—notably including polygamy. Remarriage is nothing less than serial polygamy and without clear adherence to the timeless teachings of The Church on the indissolubility of marriage, it will be difficult or impossible to teach the Truths of The Faith to people in these cultures.
