This past Saturday I went to confession for the first time in a long time since I am somewhat recently reconnected to the Catholic Church.
I had prepared a little for confession, so I had an idea what it would be like and what I wanted to say.
When the priest said I absolve you, your sins are forgiven,
and then “go in peace” I didn’t know what is customary to say back at that closing.
Can anyone help? Thanks!
