YOU said that Elijah and Enoch were able to enter heaven, before Jesus died for us, because they were ‘sanctified by their faith.’

YOU said that. You, not us. You need to explain this. We haven’t done anything but asked you to explain your assertion. YOUR own words.

No my dear we are addressing All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.
Did Mary fall short of the glory of God? Yes or no if she did then she also sinned.
It is really that simple.

If you really do want that verse to mean “all” with no exception… If you take it out of the context of the author and the rest of scripture… You are also saying that Jesus sinned, and that infants commit sin.

If your response to post 254 is all means all, when the post clearly and unequivocably shows all cannot literally mean all, then you have not answered the question. That’s like me saying the sky is always blue. A climatologist shows me the sky is red and orange and violet and I say, the sky is blue. 🤷

Folks you are forgetting Hisalone’s failure to think logically as evidence by this exchange alone.
 
No, dear, you made the assertion. You have not won anything here. You made the above post–your own words–and you’re waffling about it, trying desperately to change the subject, finally resorting to the tired, "Claim you win and walk away’ tactic.

It won’t work. The people on these forums are perfectly capable of seeing through that sort of thing. They will wonder, “Why isn’t Hisalone backing up his words? Why is he trying to change the subject?”

So tell us, if you can, why you said what you did. And if, perchance, you were in error, all you have to do is say, “Yes, that’s what I said but it’s not really what I meant”. Nobody would think less of you; in fact, most would think more of you.

It can and does mean all. Isreal is Gods people they did not seek Him. All means all. The prodigal son was still a son even though he wandered off. gods love is everlasting

I understand that for you who have been born into a Protestant culture it must be difficult to reconcile with our Catholic faith because it is so different. You have a particular mindset and all the evidence presented to you somehow does not gel with you. It is my strong belief that in the following weeks some of the things said on this thread will come to mind and you will reflect, read up and investigate (not forgetting prayer). You might have some “information overload” and you need to digest all this. Just like a seed that is planted - the soil needs to be fertilised and then there is water and the sun…and time. Maybe we will meet again on another thread next year.

You did not answer my question about Lourdes, Fatima and Guadaloupe. I suspect you may know nothing about these events and their fruit. Do not brush this aside but take a look at their significance. Guadaloupe is closer to home. There is a lawyer in the US, Daniel Lynch (he has a website) who devoted his life to propagate the truth and beauty of Our Lady of Guadaloupe (I think he gave up his profession to pursue this fulltime - ask yourself why).

Remember Martin, Jesus loved Mary so much and his last instruction before he took his last breath and yielded his Spirit was to give his mother to us. Ask yourself also why the Catholic Church has stood the test of time and lasted for over 2000 years.

I still find the assertion that Enoch and Elijah were able to enter heaven, 'sanctified by their faith", to be the absolute most startling post I’ve seen yet on this thread–and that’s saying something!

HOW can somebody make this kind of assertion–which negates Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross–as Scriptural when there is absolutely no Scripture which supports this–and then, when questioned about it, refuse to elaborate?
