Why is this forum so accepting of stereotypes and nasty comments about liberals, but God forbid somebody say a similar thing about conservatives and suddenly they are “suspended.”? I hardly think saying that I or other liberals I know are so brainless we can’t find our butts with a flashlight is OK with the Rules of Conduct on this site.

You must be new to this forum. Just take a few minutes a cruise through the secular news posts and see if you still think no one gets away with absolutely crushing the President in ways that make my comment about Baldwin look like high praise.

It was Baldwin who started the personal insults right from his first comment but you are right. Sean should not have responded in kind.
I thought it was kind of funny that Mr. Baldwin, a liberal who supposedly cares so much for the “little guy” and “working class” Americans, could not come up with anything he considered more of an insult than bringing up Sean’s working-class former career. It lets you know what he really thinks about the working class “little guy”.

Regardless of who started the insults, at least they were about each other directly. When you move past each other and on to family, thats when you’ve really crossed the line.

I am not new to the forum. I’ve been here almost two years. Furthermore, you didn’t just say Baldwin couldn’t find his butt with a flashlight; you said that he was like all liberals. I have no problem with criticizing Baldwin’s comments, which were at the level of a playground feud, but to lump all liberals into that category, and to defend Hannity who was completely childish just shows a total lack of impartiality and the ability to argue a point without an insult.

I did say “he” couldn’t find it, not “they”. I am sorry you took it that way but I was not referring to everyone and anyone who leans left. I was referring to the hard-core wacko leftists like Baldwin who make fools of themselves every time they open their mouths. I feel the same way about hard-core wacko right wingers. Also, listen to the tape or read the transcript. Sean was not childish. Most of the extreme statements that are being attributed to him were not said by him. As bones_IV pointed out, it was Mark Levin that said all of that stuff.

I see no problem with a joking reference like that when others get away with calling our President and our soldiers war criminals, murderers, terrorists and similar things. In fact, the people regularly saying those kinds of things are exactly the kind of people I was talking about.

I’ve brought this up MANY times and I even get reprimanded by moderators and when I mention this observation, I dont get an answer, just that I am antagonistic…I even contacted Mr Keating about this as well…and I will do so again. I have made an extensive record of comparative instances and will be submitting that as well.
My feeling it gets ignored is that this forum is filled with hall monitors who’s mission is to constantly report every little thing they view as hurting their feelings.

The problem with Alec Baldwin is that all he can do is spew hateful slurs. He doesn’t have enough brains to have a factual debate, just to spout his bias. As soon as someone challenges his remarks, he becomes belligerent. It’s real easy to make ridiculous statements but not so easy to defend your indefensible position with fact.

I was there with my bright orange sash gleaming brightly in the sunlight.
They knew we were coming and actually lured us into the halls for an ambush. The battle was furious from the start with pink slips and pencils flying everywhere. I wouldn’t have survived myself but I found an empty locker to hide in for the next three days where I ended up having to eat my own shoes to survive.
When I stepped out of the locker there were sashes everywhere. Most hall monitors still had their pencils grasped in their hands.
We were monitors once…. And young.
