I have never heard of you being able to get an annulment even though the marriage has been consummated. However, I will look into this at a local level. Thank you also of making me aware that there might be a rule regarding the above ie, annulment after consummation.
I am pretty sure Alec married Kim Basinger several years ago outside of the Church. Therefore, there was lack of form in that case. Not only that, but Kim had also been previously divorced.

We can’t say for certain, but considering the circumstances, I think his case to marry in the Church this time was probably pretty straightforward.

I’ve been watching too many children movies. Didn’t know how his name was spelled “Alec” Baldwin but could only think of Madagascar.

Who is Alex Baldwin? I know of an Alec and a Steven and some other guy but I have never heard of an Alex. Perhaps he is related to Katie Homes, or Stacy Pelosi. If we are going to criticize here (and we probably can) we should at least look like we know what his name is before we start guessing the motives of his soul. It makes us lose credibility.
I worry about brad abama, dictator of the USSR’s soul.😃
I’ve encountered this type of error before, and how I handled it is that I sent the OP a private message informing them of their error, thus giving them a chance to correct the error without public ridicule.

As for my criticizing, Alec, you and a few others, are assuming that I was criticizing him. All I said is, “I’m at a loss for anything else to say.”

Why did everyone assume that it was a negative comment? The comment meant that I was stunned that someone that high profile chose our church to get married in. I meant that it showed the church is relevant to even someone as well thought of (in showbiz) as AB. Think of it, AB, who works in a society that mocks our church, that he still stood up and invited his closet friends to celebrate his marriage in the Catholic Church.

I didnt say you were criticizing him. I just think that if we are going to post about someone and their personal lives we ought to at least get their name right. 4 people got it wrong so it probably should be stated publicly. I’m no fan of Alec. I think he is a typical Hollywood liberal Catholic. He has a huge gift of humor and acting ability. I enjoy some of the TV shows and Movies he is in. I think like many Hollywood actors his personal life is a mess and his spiritual life is confusing. My point was since we dont know him well enough to get his name right perhaps we should refrain from guessing his most personal and private motives and beliefs.

If you are at a loss for anything to say i wonder what that means in the context of posting a thread. Are you sad, happy, confused, angered? What?
