I’m not a literalist, but they could argue it happened on Pangaea or Gondwana. Or that God made them after the Flood or teleported them there.
Pieman, Pangaea would not help, as it broke apart 200 million years before Noah lived. I think your teleporting proposal is the more realistic. What we also need to bear in mind is the various aquaria needed for housing exotic fish that could not have survived in the cold and brackish flood waters. Noah would have needed probably solar powered lighting and filtering systems for these aquaria.

He would also have needed mechanized manure-disposal systems, as the elephants alone would have produced over two million pounds of manure during the duration of the flood voyage before Noah dropped them off in Africa and headed north to position the ark above Ararat…

life is but a blink of the eye. we’ll all know soon enough. interesting posts. thanks
Some sooner than others. The older I get the more amazed I am at how little time we have, and at how fleetingly it passes.

To me the larger question is, why is the lamestream media that by and large won’t even tell us what’s really going on on earth really care if there is alien life? Because arsenic creatures have next to nothing to do with the possibility of extraterrestrial life except to a sci-fi-obsessed culture such as ours that loves to pretend it knows far more than it actually does. Also, what praytell are “evolutionary pressures”? Look, why are we so scared to admit that we have no idea how life came about here on earth - it blows away all questions of probability - and we’re just trying to fit the universe into our tiny little heads because we’re so narcissistic and imbalanced in our lives, trying to fill the gap left by morality and childlike wonder by playing God anywhere we get the chance.
The bigotted media has no shame. There are loads of juicy issues they could be discussing, but they ignore them with their bigotry, and few question their unfairness. Just turn on kids TV programming and you’ll see lots of dinosaurs, monsters, and aliens. It all adds doubt to Religion.

Dinosaurs and aliens are fine – my sons love the educational shows on PBS. But I could sure do without all the violence and sex that fills the airwaves, that require me to shut off the telly so often!

The atheists argue that we religious believe in fairy tales, yet there is no scientific proof of aliens. So I laugh at them calling us delusional when they have no better proof. At least our faith helps the greater good. No such benefit to believing in aliens. Just read the article in the OP. It has no proof of alien life on earth, just conjecture and dreams. The online article was already edited once. I can’t believe people actually believe this ****, then act like we are the delusional ones.

I think it’s funny how they started coloring the dinosaurs all these bright colors, as if they have proof that this is what they looked like.

PBS put Katy Perry in a bustier for a skit on Sesame Street before it was yanked due to complaints from parents, so there’s some evidence that it’s time for a change in leadership due to poor judgment. The other major kids network shows young girls displaying cleavage. Their messages are pernicious, that’s why we need to discern their motives for destroying innocence. Once the innocence is gone, lost faith in true love follows. We need to be very careful that we are not funding our kids’ reduction of virtues. I think it’s worse than most people want to realize.

The atheists argue that we religious believe in fairy tales,
Pay them no heed.
Yet there is no scientific proof of aliens.
Who argues there is such proof?
No such benefit to believing in aliens.
I’ve never heard anyone argue there is a benefit to believing in aliens.

The point is not that it is alien, since by definition no terrestrial life is can be alien to earth. The argument would be that if life can develop on a non-carbon-based platform here, it could develop on a similar platform elsewhere in the universe.

I’m not clear on what this has to do with alien life.

P.B.S.? Shudder.

I was wondering when dinos would come into this. Yes, the media has been on double duty in creating dino/dragon mystique. Yes, they do not make the argument that it is helpful precisely because it is not helpful, just to be crystal-clear about the thing. Fascination with serpents is a characteristic of, yes, specialists of science, but mainly reptilian persons. It is nothing to bring children up on for certain unless you want them messed up (and I don’t just mean “theologically” or “spiritually” but right to the marrow of the young physiology!) The serpent means something quite distinct in all histories both religious and Occult. I think it’s important for proud “scientists” to note that magic is real and miracles are real. If anyone is just staring blankly to these words, please take some time tomorrow afternoon and investigate Our Lady of Guadalupe, since that’s her feast day. I mean it’s one thing to ignore the facts but that is not scientific. Neither is it scientific to pretend science will one day have all the answers. When you claim something will one day have all the answers you are claiming that you will one day be God knowing all. The neurotics/dependents/idealists reject whatever they don’t understand; the psychotics/narcissists/practicalists reject whatever they can’t control. Pseudoscientists and politicos do an amazing job of making this world lousy. (Sorry to steal the show like this, but we are on page what now?)
