So you are saying that it is a development of doctrine that Jesus died for aliens

Ok. But I don’t like how the Pope said we would baptize aliens when the Holy Spirit hasn’t justified this through the Magisterium’s infallibility

IF they were sentient beings with souls, would they not be subject to the “UNIVERSAL” church??? It is common sense that this would likely be the case. Now if we go there then maybe we would find not so soul filled creatures, but if they can get here I would doubt they lack a soul.

Also, if they were rather humanoid (my Vulcan example) it would be hard to say they aren’t also in the image of God and like us o.O if they are then how can they not be part of the universal church of God who created them?

Whether there are aliens or aren’t, I hope we never meet them. I personally lean toward there aren’t any, but that doesn’t really matter.

Either way, our respective knowledge/experience/virtue would probably have huge gaps between the two races… If for example they were not as fallen as us, a meeting would only corrupt them; if, by some horrible imagining, they were even worse than us, then finding them would sink our world further into the muck. 😦

That’s not even considering our penchant for senseless annihilation. Would we like to make bets on who ends up with better weapons? I say leave well enough alone and hope we never meet.

Well, since the bible states that before all isbright thebentire world is to decend horribly into a world ruled by Satan… umm it is going to happen with or without aliens.

No need to hurry it along, though…🤷

Its more likely the Church is just for homo sapiens

A proactive mission to Baptize Aliens would most likely depend on whether The Second Person of the Trinity appeared to them or not.

If a fallen alien species (who is capable of interstellar travel), has no concept of the Trinity, then the Church would most likely actively establish missions to the aliens to teach about Christ & The Holy Trinity.

If The Word became incarnate on their planet too and they know of the Holy Trinity, then Church missions to Baptise the aliens would most likely be inappropriate.

However, if an alien came to Christ on his/her own; I fail to see how the Church could turn a new believer away.

God Bless
