Yes, they did have furniture initially, but it wasn’t to their liking. No, the employee of the Dept. store wasn’t the owner, he was a CASHIER that “let the 2 elders slide” through w/out paying. I DID NOT misunderstand, as you suggested – because after they :(-as I said earlier “cleaned the place out” - they had the gall to brag about it to myself and ANOTHER young lady. I was there, you weren’t. Nuff said…

im very sorry you ran into this. i think you met the one percent of one percent of mormons that would do this. most as you know (im assuming, you would know better than me) are upstanding Godly people. very happy you converted to Catholicism tho. i did to. but out of protestentism. The Catholic Church is a living and growing organism, and was left with the Deposit of Faith. Over the centuries, guided by the Holy Spirit Who is the Soul of the Church, She has dug deeper and deeper into that Deposit and has gained greater insights. But, AT NO TIME HAVE ANY OF HER EARLIER DOGMAS ON FAITH AND MORALS BEEN CONTRADICTED BY LATER DOGMAS OR DEVELOPMENTS OF EXISTING DOGMAS.

Changing practices is an entirely different thing

If my daughter who is now a mormon missionary would do such a thing, the mission president would put her on the first plane home. And these two young men would also be on the first plane home. This is why I doubt your story. All missionaries know that such behavior would get them an early trip home to see mom or dad.

interesting statements. but there are no prophecies here in any of the quotes you gave. but for one thing, if it was not for the crusaders you would be speaking arabic right now. how about a prophecy that a pope made? and by the way, thank you for answering my friend. i was getting worried you wouldnt. peace be to you.🙂

i wish diana was online. she could give you a much better answere than why me. she answered this on another thread, so hopefully she will answere it here as well. i have alot of respect for her views. parker d’s too. and z’s alot of good mormons out their, you may have to wait for a little while for a good educated response. they are the most candid, and wont beat around the bush. Do you not get it??? They were not put on the first plane home because no one told on them/reported them to the bishop. Geesh!!
As for more horror stories on mormon missionaries, why don’t you google the name “Christopher Gribble”. 19 yrs. old. In Oct '08, he randomly broke into a 42 year old nurses home and killed her with an ax, then for the heck of it he hacked off her 11 year old daughters toes. This happened in New Hampshire. He was a missionary at the time that he commited these horrible crimes. What about Mark Hacking? You know, killed his wife then dumped her in a landfill. He was also a “returned missionary” …

I see. They only bragged to you, a new member, and to another person. But the bishop did not hear of this or anyone else. Okay. But what they did was wrong and their behavior should be no reflection of other missionaries. By you stating of not trusting any mormon missionary, you must have problems trusting catholic priests since many have been accused of molesting boys. But I am sure that you trust your priest. There should be no double standard.

No Catholic is required to read, let alone believe, what any particular Saint or group of Saints have taught.

Mormons on the other hand insist their member “follow the prophet”. Hang on his every word and do every thing he might say to do. And so this person is prophet today. After he dies, eh, he had some nice opinions.

As usual, you have no comparison.
