Sr. Keehan and 60 progressive nuns claim abortion coverage is not in the Obama Health Reform Law, yet the Dept. of Health and Human Services released $160 million for emergency insurance to cover abortions … UNDER the new law (see the story here: lifesitenews.com/ldn/2010/jul/10071311.html). So who is really to blame for this great expansion of abortion and birth control?

Check out the video report here: youtube.com/watch?v=Fv5vBJn36rM

What do you all think? Is this accurate?

**They were duped, just like millions of “catholics” who ignored the teachings of the Catholic Church & whoi ignored the obvious the fact that Mr. Obama is owned by the pro-death abortion industry & voted for “hope & change!”
**

**When we die & stand alone in front of Jesus to answer for our lives, despite our many sins, we can surely say, “i fought against the murder of innocent babies by abortion!”

"And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me.’ " (MT 25:40).**

Sancta Maria, Mater Dei, ora Pro Nobis Peccatoribus!

No, it’s you who is being duped. It’s the Republicans lying for political gain this time:

From the Pennsylvania Insurance Department website on their proposal:

Abortions: Includes only abortions and contraceptives that satisfy the requirements of
18 Pa.C.S. § 3204-3206 and 35 P.S. §§10101, 10103-10105.
  1. Elective abortions are not covered. Services rendered to treat illness or injuries
resulting from an elective abortion are covered.
  2. The Program and its Subcontractors will respect the conscience rights of
individual providers and provider organizations and comply with the
Pennsylvania law prohibiting discrimination on the basis of the refusal or
willingness to participate in certain abortion and sterilization-related activities as
    outlined in 43 P.S. §955.2 and 18 Pa. C.S.A. §3213(d).

I don’t believe they were duped at all. These nuns are in complete defiance of Catholic teaching…and have been for a very long time over more issues than just abortion.

Bottom line: The bishops themselves are responsible!

Your bias is shining through, please read the entire article that explains that almost all abortions are covered. Not sure how anyone can place blame on anyone but the democrats on federally funded abortions, but nice try.

This has been debunked on another thread. Neither PA or federal law allows these funds to be spent on abortion except abortions already allowed by the Hyde amendment.
