An ardent catholic women who is a sci-fi fan, likes Spider-Man, and is open to hearing about Transformers a lot :D. Also she would not my very science nerdiness:nerd:

Nearing my mid-twenties, an age where I should be actually close to marriage.
When you are almost 30 like me and still not married then I would worry but until then I would relax a little.

As a side note I LOVE Transformers :D. My favorite was the Beast Wars.

I’m 27 almost 28 and only been on maybe 2 dates. So don’t worry about it.
I’m 43 and never been on an “official” date. So don’t worry about it. They say there’s someone for everyone. I don’t believe that. Some people stay single all their lives. I guess it’s a vocation.

Beast Wars fan cool. I like G1, Beast Wars, RiD, Animated, and Prime the best. Why do you like Beast Wars?

I’m nearing my 30s should I be worried? 🙂

Hahaha, I am 30, what does that say about me? Should I be panicing because I am not married? hahaha

Nah I wouldn’t panic. Even those who feel like they are called to marriage sometimes do not find someone. I am very happy with my life. I have a wonderful little girl, 3 horses, a cat, I am in school right now for nursing, I plan on rejoining the Army as a reservist, and I plan on working on becoming an Officer. Would I like to share my happiness with someone? You bet I would but for now I just live my life as it is.

I liked the story line in Beast Wars, my brothers had the toys and I used to play with them more than they did

I think it’s a cultural thing. Over here, I’ve known two of my classmates who gotten married straight of college. One of em already has a kid! (They’re pretty well off too.) Ditto for one current workmate and one former one.

I suppose I shouldn’t be too eager to jump straight into marriage but I still want romance. Badly. ;w; You’d be surprised at how my seemingly geeky hobby can actually turn you into a romantic.

Sounds like some of my classmates here too. I figured if I did actually start dating it would not be until after undergrad. I knew in 6th grade I wanted at least a Masters and now that I’m so close to being done I can taste it I am starting to really contemplate my future more.

Here in the Far East, it’s the norm to get married at around early to mid-20s. Hence, me feeling weird about me not married yet.

It IS more of a cultural thing here in the Fatherland.
That said, you are not the only one who had encountered those who marry early. I swear, I see many who do get married once they have both a degree and a job.

You think you’re the only one who badly wants romance? You ain’t alone, bro. This is especially the case with nerds like us, but even the non-nerds have this problem, just saying.

I needed to reach almost 30 to stop worrying, actually. 😛

I’m almost 31, not married, and not worried about it. I want it to happen, but God’s timing is a lot better than mine.

Also: Transformers and Beast Wars for the win!

I have a unique problem, I think maybe I have a call to vocation, but I’m hedging my bets
in case I can’t get in.(I’m 45.) I have been a christian since 2001 and a catholic since 2005,
and my dream was to be a husband and a father.(at the right time.) 😊 The reason
I think I may have a vocation is because I am beginning to think maybe I should
sacrifice my dreams to serve Jesus. But if I can’t be a priest or monk, I would be glad to
get married. 😉 Anyway, here’s my list:

green light

1.catholic or willing to convert
2.kind
3.understanding
4.traditional minded
5.a woman who’s not worried about money or stuff
6.non-castrating
7.wants a large family
8.attractive brunette

red light

1.not religious
2.like Debra from everyone loves Raymond or Carrie from the king of queens
3.somebody who would not follow the tenants of the catholic church
4.high maintenance
5.progressive politics and religion
6.talks to much
7.attitude all men are scum
8.bossy see #2.

theres my list, I hope that people won’t find it weird. 😉

I’ve come to the conclusion that I’m not going to fret about it, better make the best of what there is to play with, and I’m determined to have had a blast of a journey when it’s over regardless. Besides, my so called pedigree’s a nightmare, and I wouldn’t even know what surname to pass down. Besides, thinking from a female POV I’d have trouble finding myself desireable. Not attractive, mind you, there is no problem with that, but desireable, which is a different cup of shoes, and I firmly believe in everybody’s right to make an informed decision that best serves his or her interests, let alone that you can’t sue feelings out of people. So basically case solved.

For the record, you might want to expand your network of contacts, social exposure and the like. God helps those who help themselves and supernatural interventions are unlikely where natural means (aka brains, and action) would suffice. Might be time to cast your net.

October Baby, I’m only a year younger than you, a man
and never married, and we are in the same boat, except
for one thing:

What do you have against Deborah from Everybody Loves Raymond ?
Seriously, I think she puts up with a lot of BS on Ray and his mother’s part.
Now, Carrie from King of Queens, she’s a real smart alek, it would be a
challenge to get a hold of that one. lol.

Here’s mine off top of my head:

**Green: **
Deep thinker
Predictable
Doesn’t always have to laugh to smile inside
God fearing
Empathic
No serious promiscuity in her past
Not materialistic

Red:
Been with too many men / would be with another woman
Garrulous
Gossipy
Sweats the small stuff
Too outgoing
Too career-oriented
Unwilling to accept my own flaws. lol.

I know if I don’t get married I’ll have plenty of toys to keep me company:tiphat: 😃

Megatron: Die Optimus Prime

Optimus: Never

battle sounds
