Thanks to Stephenie Meyer, vampires are now tools for spreading the religion of relativism. D:
Oh I agree and I did like the Twilight book series (the movies are another story) but I have always perfered the traditional vampire and do not believe that vampires should sparkle in the sun when the should be burning to ash.

They don’t?

Honestly, the one thing good about vampires is that you can hunt them. Hunting the sparkly ones is twice the fun.
Hunting the sparkly ones is indeed a fun thing, especially if one is a paladin from Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. 🙂

Additional green flags (fantasy version):
  1. Mastery in the art of archery
  2. Knows how to cast support spells
  3. Is a human female
Red flags:
  1. A vampire/demon/anthro
  2. Seductive
  3. A dude

Well if you’re free to dream of such requirements, I guess I’m free to take mine up a notch.

Hm… lesee… I think I’ll spice it even more by adding both new red and green flags. :whacky:

Red Flags
  • Horrendous strength
  • Shadowy mind powers
  • Too much charisma
  • Has arcane skill that rivals mine
  • Resorts to brutality
  • Resorts to seduction
  • Resorts to religious zeal
  • Resorts to persistent arguing
  • Is a classic half-demon
  • Is a vampire
  • Is a paladin of a dragon/mage-hating order
  • Is a rival mage but with a different school/theoretical approach
Green Flags
  • Has healing powers
  • Is tied to the fate of the world (or something close)
  • Must go on epic pilgrimage to save said world
  • Is classic half-angel
As you can see, I’m taking obvious jabs at archetypes here but don’t worry. If you were applying for party-mate or even party leader instead of lover, I would gladly accept (provided a mage like meself won’t end up killed because of it).

:whacky:

Now these lists seem a bit more honest. All the other lists are very nice but a little predictable (okay, even Lost Wanderer’s first list wasn’t, but if I didn’t say that someone woud have to comment, blahblahblah…so there, I acknowledged it). I’d like to see more like these.

I’d probably make another one to stretch my creative muscles but perhaps later. 😛 😉 One thing I will say right now though is a possible explanation for why some of the lists seem so predictable.

I think they are mildly confusing a list of Catholic non-negotiables with a list of desired personality traits. By default, mine already covers that simply with the inclusion of “Religious” but seriously, what else? There had to be more (and there was ;)).

How about Canadians, Australians or Kiwi (New Zealand)?

I’ve actually met a lot of charming Kiwi men when I lived in Hawaii. 🙂
I suspect that I’d have a better chance of finding an Aussie or Kiwi sheep guy than an American one.

I’ve worked with Kiwi vets…New Zealanders are pretty nice once you can understand what they are saying. Ditto for Australians.

I’ll see what I can do to further that type of list. :3
As for my list, I agree that it’s a little predictable to say the least especially with the ones concerning external beauty. o:

I used to have a hard time trying to understand what people from Australia or New Zealand were saying but I got used to it fast. It doesn’t take long to get used to their accents.

Probably won’t hear from dorks though. They just lurk for the most part.
Indeed.

Which reminds me. This is actually related to the list being more fantasy genre-oriented. Are gumihos (Korean nine-tailed foxes) furries, anthros or fox/human hybrids? o:

I say that I want to do that but levitating in prayer usually indicates serious holiness that earns extra attention from satan. Then I’m not so sure I want to be that holy. I’d rather fly under the radar, so to speak.
Ah, but I’d think that fear of Satan as an impediment to holiness would be something to avoid, too. We’re all called to be saints in our lives as best as we can, and we all attract attention from Satan…I say, be as holy as you can and let 'im make faces through the window, fat lot of good it will ever do 'im.

Of course. Read the arcticle linked in that post. It paints a clear picture of that struggle.

Also, I missed the perfent opportunity to use this smiley :takeoff:.

Goodness…just read it. Slightly sobering stuff, yeah?

I saw this question on CM back when I tried online dating…and I thought it would be interesting to post it here too. So…

1- What turns you on in your quest of Mr or Mrs Right?
2- What turns you off?

It’s time to be honest y’all. 🙂
Wish List: Honest, Tall, Patient & Witty

No Way: Smoker, Impatient, & Pessimist

… for some reason I am seeing an amusing contrast between those who levitate all aglow with the divine… and those who just prefer flying around, propelled by mana and spamming arcane bolts like a mecha spams laser beams. 😛
