Are you good people fans of Star Gate? I really liked that series a lot. Probably just as much as ST.
I’m a Stargate fan. Aside from Star Trek: TNG, the only other sci-fi series of which I’ve seen every episode is Stargate: SG-1. (The TV movies too.) I’ve been slowly working my way through Stargate: Atlantis on Hulu.

Although I didn’t care much for Stargate: Universe. Didn’t even make it halfway through the first season.

And of course I blame Captain Picard for my Earl Grey tea addiction. 😉

I even have the officially licensed Star Trek “Tea. Earl Grey. Hot.” tea tin.

Well, Earl Grey is the best of tea. Far better than coffee. Blech!

If Cap’n Picard prefers it, can’t be all bad. Tea can be good. Coffee can be good.

The real question is, What does Data prefer?

Hmmm…I think he enjoys the hollowdeck and spot…that much I know…I forget some details.

Who has watched “Andromeda”?

I have not yet, but it looks like a good one.

Happy First Contact Day to all the Trekkies. Only 45 years to go.

The Ferengi are a race that made commerce their religion. (Scroll down to the middle section for the Ferengi essay.) They were created as a commentary on our human condition. A lot of people worship greed; they just won’t admit it. Quark in particular saved the day several times: he caught a Vorta spy named Eris; he saved 28 million lives from a renegade; and he ran a black market that saved Bajoran lives.

The creators nicknamed DS9 “the island of misfit toys.” The Enterprise series tends to be regarded as the weakest entry because it went back to having only 2 women, and it made villains of the Vulcans. It really bothered fans that the whole series
was a holographic program Will Riker was running during the rescue of the Pegasus
. But then it also had Shran (Jeffrey Combs).

Yeah, I think DS-9 is just not enough action and exploration for me.

Thanks for the commentary on Enterprise. Those things you listed sound quite viable. I bet other fans could think of 8 more reasons to round it out to an even 10. 🙂

I liked it. I think the Klingons should look a little bit more like they did in the past however. I would give it 3.75 out of 5 stars

When I had my heart valve surgery in 2011, the hospital consistently brought me decaf coffee. For a while I actually grew to like it, but eventually I migrated back to tea. I’ll still do coffee occasionally, but never straight up black coffee. Whearas I will drink my tea (Earl Grey or otherwise) straight up more often than not.
