A clear case of that is in the verses regarding wine and alcohol. there are verses in the Quran tha are no more valid as a verdict on wine and alcohol.

The gradual prohibition came in 3 verses in the following order:

Surah 2:219

They ask you about intoxicants and games of chance. Say: In both of them there is a great sin and means of profit for men, and their sin is greater than their profit. And they ask you as to what they should spend. Say: What you can spare. Thus does Allah make clear to you the communications, that you may ponder

Then…

Surah 4:43

O you who believe! do not go near prayer when you are Intoxicated until you know (well) what you say…

Then…

Surah 5:90

O ye who believe ! wine and the game of chance and idols and divining arrows are only the abomination of Satan’s handiwork. So shun each one of them that you may prosper.

That is a clear case on how God changed his verdicts because of the nature of teh people he is giving the verses to.

God didn’t change his mind. he was gradual because of US and he would stipulate verdicts for situations ina different way . ’

That is niether a contradiction nor God changing his mind.
Let me reflect on this a bit. All of Muhammeds revelation came over a couple of decades. Within this short time frame man changed to the point that He at first recommends and then condems wine.

Let me restate this question

Believers, wine and games of chance … are abominations devised by Satan Sura 5:90

This is the paradise which the righteous have been promised. Therein shall flow…rivers of wine delectable to those that drink it. Sura 47:15

Please explain how something created by Satan is allowed into heaven as a reward for man. Especially since Allah stated that it is an abomination. Does Allah let evil into Heaven?

Please explain to me if God forbids wine why does he allow it into Heaven as a reward to man?

It is God’s word not mans. How does God become more majestic by stating he is plural when in fact he is not. Is this not an error. One can not be more majestic than God and God can not be more than one.
No it isnt , because when God talks to men he talks o them in their own language .

God uses man’s language to communicate God’s messege. That is why he sent prophets to people from their own tribes and people. The arabs understood this perfectly, that is why you will never ever see an in arab histiory , the pagan arabs thinking of teh God that Muhammed preached as many gods !!! No thouht came to them of this sort.

It is a silly modern beaten to death failed tactic lol.

beasue wine in heaven is not intioxicating.

it is mentioned in the quran.

037.046
YUSUFALI: Crystal-white, of a taste delicious to those who drink (thereof),
PICKTHAL: White, delicious to the drinkers,
SHAKIR: White, delicious to those who drink.

037.047
YUSUFALI: Free from headiness; nor will they suffer intoxication therefrom.
PICKTHAL: Wherein there is no headache nor are they made mad thereby.
SHAKIR: There shall be no trouble in it, nor shall they be exhausted therewith.

wine on earth and wine in heaven are two differen things? It is not forbidden to drink non alcoholic wine for muslims. basicly teh criteria is intoxication.

So, Satan created wine as it is stated in the Koran. The all knowing God then takes Satan’s invention purifies it and man drinks it in Heaven. Would this not make Satan superior to God as Satan thought of something for heaven; which, God did not?

satan didnt created wine . Killing with a knife is an act that can be inspired by satan but satan didnt invent the knife!!!

The verse wants to say that satan loves acts that hurts humans. and develops them in bad habits .

instead of earning money the hard way —> gambling

Instead of research and study —> taking actions based on what the dice turns to be

instead of bieng sober —> wasting money bieng intoxicated ( whatever other sins that might lead to)

when we talk of satan’s handiwork we don’t mean it literally!! it means the ways that satan adopts and encourages to set people astray.

Ok i think i don’ see any challenges really. good luck with your new friend Daniel Ali, and see you tommorow as i haev to o to sleep , you can keeo posting and i will refuute you tommorow. ¨

Muslim exegets have thousands of opinions , and some of hem are just ‘‘what ifs’’ . The final say is tha we don’t know who this man was .

Yes i am stating that Al sameri was not a samaritan. He was a man of that name at the time of moses.

oh and please don’t let anything go for teh sake of me lol
He [Allah] said, “We have tempted thy people since thou didst leave them. The Samaritan has led them into error.” Then Moses returned …
… and we cast them (gold) ornaments], as the Samaritan also threw them, into the fire." (Then he brought out for them a Calf, a mere body that lowed; and they said, “This is your god, and the god of Moses, whom he has forgotten.”) …
Moses said, “And thou, Samaritan, what was thy business?” …
– Sura 20:85-88, 95

How can a Samaritan have led the Israelites astray at the time of Moses [about 1400 B.C.] when the city of Samaria was founded by King Omri in about 870 B.C. (see 1 Kings 16:24)? But “the Samaritans” as a distinct people only emerged after the exile of the Northern kingdom of Israel and the resettlement of the area under king Sargon II in after 722 B.C. with non-Israelites which then adopt a syncretism [mixture] between the religion of the Jews and their own polytheistic background. Hence, it is historically impossible that a Samaritan could have led the Israelites into idolatery in the time of Moses. This is another time compression of at least 500, but rather 700 years.

Yusuf Ali changes the word to “Samiri” and Pickthall to “As Samirii.” Arberry in the English, and Kasimirski in the French both correctly translate it “Samaritan.” Yusuf Ali tries to state that the word could be “Shemer,” which denotes a stranger, or “Shomer,” which means a watchman, the equivalent of “Samara” in Arabic, which he implies is close enough to the Samari he is looking for. The Arabic correctly spelled and translated means Samaritan. If it is the word of God one should not have to change his word. As you have stated God put it in a form that man can understand. Did you not state this about the Prophets being from their own people and the use of the plural of God to make it majestic. Yet here two of the people you use to support your claims change the very text of God.

Samaritans, however, derive their name not from this geographical designation, but rather from the term שַמֶרִים (šāmĕrı̂m), “**keeper **[of the Law]”.[2]

Sameri is a hebrew word that means ‘’ Guardian or keeper or guard or watcher.

The word in itself is an adjective. Your name can be John and your job can be a ‘’ Sameri’’ . The Quran refered to the man with the same word

Sameri

There is no reference in the Quran that this man belonged to a certain late kingdom nor even that his name was Sameri.

The word sameri is an adjective as well as it is a name , it describes the Job of this man whatever his name was .

I am curious concerning your statement that He changed His verdict or the concept of gradual changes. The Koran is not written in a chronological order. So how do you apply a chronology of time to a book that was not written to be in a chronological order?

My post wont change anything if you don’t want it to change anything.

I got you wikipedia and another ‘‘christian’’ site that clearly translates the word sameri into its meaning.

I have not quoted any muslim site ! i am no sure how more independant can i be on that .

The word used is ‘’ sameri’’ . As i quoted from wikipedia above and from the christian site , eh word itself has a meaning on it s own separate from the people or the kingdom later named by the same word.

Your effort to force the word to ONLY refer to the Kingdom of Al samera doesnt not shed a light as bieng honest specially when i gave you a an unbiased independant sources .

Conclusion: The Sameri in the Quran is not udnerstood in this Quranic context to be part of the later kingdom . More over , there is no eviddence o preclude hat some oen was called with that name before the later kingdom emerged.

now lets anaswer your other questions

To have gradual legislation doesnt mean you are not consistent. It means you are gradual . The Quran did that not only in Alcohol but in other things as well as a means to rehabilitate people out of their bad habits. Which i think is very wise.

The Quran is studied as a science that establishes with great accuracy which verses came first and which came later. The people who had a testemony on this were the early muslims themselves , they were present as the verses decended and knew how the chronology happened and passed it dow to us.

i don’t see any rocket science in that . This is mainsream knowledge among muslims.

My understanding is the Arabic word is not Sameri. I do not doubt that Sameri is not Samaritan. My point is the word for Sameri is not in the original Koran.

Wikipedia may be unbiased it does not mean it is learned.

I based my thoughts in the other post. It appears that a couple of experts state that it does not mean Samaritan. Yet I posted two other experts that state it does mean Samaritan. These two experts directly refute the translation given by two of your experts.

I am curious how comfortable you feel reading and/or translating the Koran as specifically as it appears you do. As I am sure you are aware the current version of the Koran is not the same as the original. We know this as the Caliph Uthman had to consolidate the Koran’s into one version 20 years after Muhammed’s death. Even though this occurred we have examples of the Koran with additional and subtracted verses from the current Koran.

One example is the Koran found in the Mosque of Sana’a. It has many variations from the current Koran. Many are inconsequential; however, it shows clearly that you are not reading the word spoken directly from God. The individual that has been examing this document stated that the scripture was written in Hijazi Arabic script and versions were clearly written over and some versions were washed off. Puin only the second person allowed to examine the Koran stated that he felt "the text was an evolving text rather than simply the Word of God as revealed in its entirety to the Prophet Muhammad in the seventh century A.D. My understanding is this man has just started to review the texts in detail and we will see more variances in the future.

With the knowledge that there were many versions of the Koran in the beginning and many that existed since then how comfortable are you in reading and translating with the belief it is the original word of Allah? How do you know if the original was not washed off or written over?

This whole thing about Sanna is a big farce in which Muslims just didn’t really see anything of it. All over teh forums on teh internet we hear about the Sanaa manuscript , we have never seen them , can the wise guy who found them just maybe scan them and post them ion teh inernet or show them o the public in a meuseum?

The second thing and the most important is tha The Quran my dear sir was not preserved by writing at all. It was preserved by memorization of thousands of people around the prophet muhammed .

Each day muslims pray 5 times in congregation in the mosque and the Quran is recited there in the prayer from memory . Never ever were the Quran principle means of preserving was writing , simply teh arabs were most of them illiterate but they had exceptional ability to memorize ( this is due to the cultrue of poetry they had ) .

They simply did that with the Quran . Scribes ofcourse wroote the Quran at the time of the prophet muhammed and later compiled it into one book after he died . if the Quran that teh scribes written was different from teh Quran that the thosuands of Companions memorized how on earth did they pray togeather ion teh mosque 5 times a day reciting different quorans , ?! there would have been quarells to high heavens .

It is sadly people who don’ know how the islamic society functioned at the time of the prophet that are easy to decieve .

it is funny that the coincidence hat initiatied the comilation of the Qura in a book was precicely because of the great accuracy that Muslims had towards that book.

Some where 2000 KM away in palestine a muslim heared a new convert recite the quoran in a different spelling ( note , different spelling and not different words) He talked to the governer that talked to Uthman who initiated the project of compiling the quran.

The compilation of the Quran was done by contrasting the Quran with all believers and everybody agreed and consented to the compilation made by uthman .

and all of this doesnt mater any way , because the Quran primary means of propagation was memorization.

Can you shwo me the sanaa manuscrips ? if the wise guy cant shiow them hen he should stop whining.

best regards,

This might help:

(Quran 20:85):
(Allah) said: “We have tested thy people in thy absence: the Samiri has led them astray.”

قَالَ فَإِنَّا قَدْ فَتَنَّا قَوْمَكَ مِنْ بَعْدِكَ وَأَضَلَّهُمُ السَّامِرِيُّ

Ibn-Kather commentary:
This commentary say that in the Jews books the name of that Samiri was Harun also.
تفسير ابن كثير:
" قال فإنا قد فتنا قومك من بعدك وأضلهم السامري " أخبر تعالى نبيه موسى بما كان بعده من الحدث في بني إسرائيل وعبادتهم العجل الذي عمله لهم ذلك السامري . وفي الكتب الإسرائيلية أنه كان اسمه هارون أيضا

Alkurtubi commentary:
This commentary say that the Samiri was a cow worshipper, or a Coptic man, or a great man from Israel from a tribe called Alsamirah which is well known in the middle east, or he was from Karaman tribe.

تفسير القرطبي:
كان السامري من قوم يعبدون البقر , فوقع بأرض مصر فدخل في دين بني إسرائيل بظاهره , وفي قلبه ما فيه من عبادة البقر . وقيل : كان رجلا من القبط , وكان جارا لموسى آمن به وخرج معه . وقيل كان عظيما من عظماء بني إسرائيل , من قبيلة تعرف بالسامرة وهم معروفون بالشام . قال سعيد بن جبير : كان من أهل كرمان

Far from there being numerous huffaz who knew the whole Qur’an off by heart to the last letter, it was, in fact, so widely spread that some passages were only known to a few of the companions - in one case, only one.

**The meaning of the above statement of Hadhrat Zaid should now be very clear that among those who had written the verses under the direct command and supervision of Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam), Khuzaimah was the only person from whom he (Zaid) found the last two verses of Surah Baraa-ah written. (Desai, The Quraan Unimpeachable, p.20). **

Although the hadith as recorded by al-Bukhari makes no mention of this, the statement that Abu Khuzaima alone had the last two verses of Surat at-Tauba (Bara’a) means that he was in fact the only one who had them in writing under Muhammad’s direct supervision.

In fact the text goes on to say that Abu Khuzaima was asked where they should be inserted in the Qur’an and he suggested they be added to the last part of the Qur’an to be revealed, namely the close of Surat at-Tauba (Bara’a in the text).

The verses were missed completely, they were only recalled and thereafter included upon Abu Khuzaimah’s initiative, and it was left to him to advise where they should be included.

The collection of the Qur’an by Zaid under Abu Bakr was a gathering together of the texts of the Qur’an from widely divergent sources and materials where the Qur’an was scattered, so divergent that at the Battle of Yamama some passages were irretrievably lost and, in another case, only one of Muhammad’s companions was aware of the text. “I searched for the Qur’an”, Zaid declared, indicating that he did not expect to find all the texts of the book in the memory of any one man or on written materials in any one place.

This type of source-material hardly supports the notion and claim that the Qur’an, as eventually collected, was perfect to the last dot and letter. The Muslim hypothesis is the product of wishful sentiment, it is not based on an objective and realistic assessment of the facts contained in the earliest historical records of the initial collection of the Qur’an.

The memory of men is fallible in view of such a long book as the Quran.

Sana’a manuscripts: uncovering a treasure of words
2007 - number 5

"A journey through time, not places, is what is traced in these excerpts from the Koran dating back to the first centuries of the Hijrah (7th and 8th centuries of our era) found by chance in the Great Mosque of Sana’a (Yemen)
What a surprise for the workers in the Great Mosque of Sana’a, rebuilding a wall that had collapsed after heavy rains in 1972, to find thousands of parchments and pieces of paper hidden in the ceiling. These manuscripts had been slumbering there for centuries. They are fragments of the Koran written in the oldest Arabic alphabet, and when they were first found no one could guess their exceptional value.

In 1984, the House of Manuscripts (Dar al Makhtutat) was founded close to the Grand Mosque, as part of a cooperation project between Yemeni and German authorities. An enormous endeavor was begun to restore the Koranic fragments. Between 1983 and 1996, approximately 15,000 out of 40,000 pages were restored, specifically 12,000 fragments on parchment and manuscripts dating back to the 7th and 8th centuries.

Some fragments were written in Hijazi, the oldest calligraphy of the Koran, used in texts long before Kufic, which is the writing most often found in the Koranic manuscripts. Hijazi is a cursive calligraphy, in which accents and points are not indicated and short vowels inexistent. It is difficult to read, requiring complete mastery of the language. Since the launching of the Memory of the World programme, UNESCO has shown its interest in the Sana’a manuscripts by providing the House of Manuscripts with conservation materials."

It would appear that even the UN is involved in its restoration.
