Alright Fine Then... Who is the best vocalist of all time?

Of all time, it must be Frank Sinatra. No one else is close. Limiting it to female singers, I nominate Peggy Lee. My criteria in both cases, sheer talent and vocal gifts, impact on the music industry and popular success. If we limit it to living singers, I suggest Annie Ross (I think she is still alive), Tony Bennett, Cleo Laine, Tierney Sutton, Ann Hampton Callaway and Karrin Allyson.
 
I don’t think I could pick just one person, but I would have to say Jeff Buckley was surely among the best.
 
I’ve just been to a Josh Groban concert, and it is crazy as to how profoundly his singing has affected me. 72 hours later I still have his voice singing in my soul. I think his soul must be just beautiful.
 
The singer from the German rock band Rammstein has an incredible voice. I’ve never heard such a deep voice before.
Not your typical vocalist. I don’t like all of their music, just a few songs. The two that really show his voice off are ‘Du Hast’ and ‘Stirb Nicht Vor Mir’. The second song is really beautiful.

And for female vocalists–Jo Stafford…
 
Hands down I discovered the best vocalist of all time. His name is Paul Potts. He was discovered on a tv show called Britain’s Got Talent. He has the most amazing opera voice I’ve ever heard.

Paul Potts is definitely a discovery. He recently visited Australia and was splashed all over the television. What a beautiful voice!

Actually I listen to a lot of opera. Most of the music I listen to is classical or opera.
I’m not telling you to think Paul Potts is the best opera singer. I happen to think he is, but then again it’s called a personal opinion.
