Our catechist says I shouldn’t make the sign of the cross because I’m not baptized, and I shouldn’t genuflect because I can’t make the sign of the cross. Is she right? I can’t find any support for the claim.
Catechist is wrong on both counts. Our catechist says I shouldn’t make the sign of the cross because I’m not baptized, and I shouldn’t genuflect because I can’t make the sign of the cross. Is she right? I can’t find any support for the claim.
Yep.Catechist is wrong on both counts.
Absolutely wrong on both. I would suggest you speak to the Spiritual Advisor for RCIA/CCD regarding what you were told. Our catechist says I shouldn’t make the sign of the cross because I’m not baptized, and I shouldn’t genuflect because I can’t make the sign of the cross. Is she right? I can’t find any support for the claim.
Bizarre why does she say you can’t?Our catechist says I shouldn’t make the sign of the cross because I’m not baptized, and I shouldn’t genuflect because I can’t make the sign of the cross. Is she right? I can’t find any support for the claim.
No, she is not right in saying that. Our catechist says I shouldn’t make the sign of the cross because I’m not baptized, and I shouldn’t genuflect because I can’t make the sign of the cross. Is she right? I can’t find any support for the claim.
Like everyone else has said, she’s wrong. When I was going through rcia classes we knelt and crossed and genuflected. I just could not take communion at the time. Our catechist says I shouldn’t make the sign of the cross because I’m not baptized, and I shouldn’t genuflect because I can’t make the sign of the cross. Is she right? I can’t find any support for the claim.
