Edward_H, what a beautiful prayer!
Stuart, you’re not alone. I’ve never experienced any sort of “different feeling” after Communion. But I KNOW that it is the Real Presence and that’s what matters the most. I try not to go to church with expectation of “getting something out of it,” but rather to “give myself as something” for God.
Funnily enough, I usually feel an overflow of grace when I go to Confession- feelings of peace and comfort and even tears- maybe that’s the Holy Spirit telling me I need to frequent that Sacrament more often…which I’m trying to make a conscious effort to do!
