Even, if it’s not adultery, in the strictest sense, I still don’t think it’s adviseable.Oh, I agree with that for sure. I just don’t think that people should be saying it’s adultery. Technically, if he is Catholic, and was when he married outside of the Church and did not receive a dispensation, then he is not married. If he were on here posting about his marriage situation, he would be advised to not have marital relations with his civil wife because that would put him in a state of mortal sin. So, if this gentleman is Catholic, he is NOT married (due to lack of form) and would not be committing adultery. That said, while he’s taking care of his situation he could be getting to know the OP as a friend, but not dating. I also think she needs to take into consideration that he has 2 children and will always have a connection to the mother, and if this is something she wants to be involved with right now.
