Your quote was taken from part of my argument from the Protestant point of view. I believe Jesus could have never sinned. Anyway, I have done my homework and prayer and I am back where I started, accepting the teachings of the Church. Thank you for all your help, even though some of you were slightly judgemental.
Ditto - Glad we could help.

And thank you for overlooking the flaws of some of us…😊

Peace
James

Sorry if we came off as judgemental. We never meant for it to be that way. But hey judgemental, we have been called worse things:D

But remember one thing, as hard as it is for a protestant to accept that we believe that the Church teaches us the full and complete truth, its just as hard for us as Catholics to accept that protestants don’t accept that teaching of Christ.

Christ tells us to go to the Church the Church is the pilar of all truth. Christ tells us, I will leave but when I do, I will be sending the Holy Spirit to guide you to all truth. And that part IS in the bible, it shows how the Advocate the HS came on the day of Pentecost to the CHURCH to teach the fullness of the truth.

We we told by Christ he would not leave us Orphans and would be with the CHURCH until the end of age, we remember, we celebrate, we believe.

To us as Catholics we kind of take it personal when people say that our Church does not have the power of the Holy Sprit to teach the truth, to us its like saying Christ lied to us. We know we have a Father who keeps his promises.

But you are a Catholic now, and it is not only your right to know the truth, it is your duty to Christ to defend his Church and his truth.

Remember what our late Bishop said, ignorance of scripture is ignorance of Christ, Study and help us defend the truth teachings of Christ. God bless you in your journey and have a wonderful holiday.😉

Thank you and have a wonderful Christmas! When I was Protestant, i thought Catholics were very wrong, and i was told by many that the RCC was a cult. Now that I am RC, I am surprised by some of the negativity towards Catholics by Protestants. I know the names we have been called, for I have heard them from even my friends, and many of them are so closed minded to the truths of the RCC…it is very sad. I shall make it my purpose to make my former tradition know the truths of the Roman Church. We are all Christians, they just need the fullness of truth.

You know you are SO RIGHT! My husband was Protestant and from him I have learned so much about what they think of us, or were taught about us, and vice-versa. Its really sad sometimes, I wonder what God would think of both of us.:o

Sometimes I think we forget that God works through all of us no matter what faith we practice. Many people as you say do not know our faith because if they really did, we would all be one faith. I guess that will never happen until we all meet again in heaven.

But for now we must be patient and loving toward one another and let the Holy Spirit do the rest. But it is sad the hate many have for the RCC. If they only truly understood the truth. But unfortunately People judge the RCC not by what they teach, but by the People who attend. And some of us are not the best role models we should and can be.

ITs a good lesson for us all to remember, and God himself said we are judged by the fruit we produce. Many people go to Church and stay because of the People more then the truth they are given. And unfortunately we as Catholics need to remember that. People are searching and we need to be more compassionate. God Bless and thanks for the reminder.👍
