I am not going to say I always hate shopping but I am going to say that I often go through phases where it seems more like a choir that anything else. Unless I have money to spend I really don’t care to window shop for more than an hour or so.
Yesterday, after work since it was Friday, I was in a bit of a mood to go out instead of coming straight home. So I went to the mall. Now admittedly, I am picky but that is because I find certain fabrics uncomfortable and annoying. This is the second time in the last few months that I have gone to a mall, bought nothing and found it to just be depressing.
As it stand, I have more than enough suitable clothes for which I thank God for. Also, I am in a period where I am earning very little and can barely cover the basics only. I just could not bring myself to but yet another shirt that I would wear at most twice a month. But what really baffles me, is the whole process **was not **a sacrifice. I almost felt like the same sickness one feels after eating too much. It saddened me to think of all the clothes in the mall since it felt like materialism overkill
I am wondering since lately I have been admiring the simple life of the Jesuits if this is a sign of becoming holier?
