Ah, nowā¦my husband is very good at shopping for me: a prince among men in so many respects, but a particular standout there! He is efficient, he is good at picking things out, better than the sales people. If you want to catch a woman who hates shopping, be good at it yourself, because a lot of women who hate it would die for a guy who will take her into a store, tell her what he likes, and encourage her to buy it.Lord, please grant that my future wife will be like these virtuous women and hate shopping.:byzsoc:

Wow, now see, a thrift store is my worst nightmare! I love all the deals to be had, but thereās hardly ever 2 or more of one thing, just lots of shirts/jackets/pants all jumbled together. Just like any clearance rack. The disorganization makes it harder for me to find and pick out what Iām looking for, and it just sends me into a tailspinā¦I donāt like shopping at all. At thrift stores, maybe, kinda, sorta. Nowhere else.
That is the very same for me. In and out and only when I really need something.Me too. I hate shopping. When I need to get soemthing, I decide to buy a gift for someone, I plan my trip to the mall like military surgical strike.
Be careful that you donāt get what you wish for!Lord, please grant that my future wife will be like these virtuous women and hate shopping.:byzsoc:

I needed to buy new kitchen curtains for my motherās house before we sold it, as well as something to cover the large window on the back door. (The back door window had a large frosty/clear garbage bag covering it.) Shopping was a hassle, until I walked into Annaās Linens. If you have one in your area, you might like it. I found the cutest white curtains with green ivy border for something like $5 each on sale. They might only be a California store; I donāt know. No, I donāt like shopping either.
My knees hurt when I go shopping, either in a big department store, a mall, or a city street.
Iām not very good at shopping. I never read the ads and look for sales. I never plan ahead. I just go buy something when I need it, which usually means when something breaks or falls apart. This means that often, Iām in āpanicā mode in the store and I have to buy whatever works. Iām not just talking about clothing. I do this with appliances, household items, yard items, etc.
Over a year ago, the curtains in our bedroom became so bedraggled, shredded (from ageāalmost 25 years old), stained (from rain blowing in on them), and dull-looking that I pulled them down and went out to buy something new. Well, I never found anything, and I got all confused by all the options (blinds, pleated blinds, draperies, curtains, shades, a valance, the different kinds of hardware, colors, patterns, blackouts, sheers, local seamstress vs. big box store, environmentally-friendly vs. petroleum-based fabrics, etc.), and I donāt want to spend a thousand dollars on one window, because of course, I would also need to buy matching bedclothes, and I should probably paint the bedroom, but since Iām not physically able to do a lot of painting, I would have to hire it done. Heck, a thousand dollars!āmore than likely it will cost three thousands dollars by the time I do all of that stuff! And if I buy new furniture to go with the new paint, bedclothes, and window treatments, it will cost me five thousand dollars!
So our bedroom still doesnāt have curtains.
Funny thingāI love grocery shopping. I love planning the menus, making up the lists, and especially being at the grocery store rolling my cart up and down the aisles and greeting all the other shoppers. I feel competent in this arena.
